Well, subj. The issue here for me is not even partying with SB during any ingame activity and lookin him stomping content, not even meeting SB somewhere in openworld to see him oneshotting the boss. I personally can barely get myself a reason to play the season further.
For me and i know there are many players who act same way, seasonal gameplay was sorta loop with:
1.Make a character
2.Level up
3.Get some decent gear
4.Try different builds
5.Minmax till you are bored
6. Go to 1.
And currently there’s no reason to make any char except of SB. Because i know no matter how hard i would try, how many time i waste on minmaxin my necro (for example) i’ll never get anywhere close to the DMG SB deal, Mobility SB have and sustain he might reach. I won’t be able to OS t4 Duri, won’t be pushin 130+ Pit et cetera.
So for me there’s no reason in gathering mythics, farmin stuff .etc
And i assume there’s more people who think same way.
So when enough of you quit (like exactly what happened in season of construct and they MASSIVELY turned everything around 180, we will have a half decent game again.
I’ll be traveling come monday so Ill be gone for a few weeks. I encourage anyone bored/not satisfied to likewise just stop playing if its not fun. Go play something fun then come back if/when they patch it.
Even the weekly citadel is trash, there are 4 weapons on the vendor… I am pretty sure they said they would rotate wings/bosses and by updating the vendors each week with exclusive cosmetics.
This is the problem I’ve tried to bring up with the many people who think that the SB balance doesn’t affect anything because it’s a single player game.
Well comparison is the thief of joy.
I am almost done with my sorc and have been mentally trying to come up with a reason to roll another char like I do every season. Like why would I waste time grinding paragon with a necro or glyphs, when a SB can do level 100 glyphs and 1 shot T4 Duriel.
It’s kinda taken the joy out of the season for me.
This is completely relative to the class/build. There is still a ceiling and a push for every class/build. It just isnt the same as the SB. How far can you get that Necro? Thats the fun? Its not to match the output of a totally broken class.
Can you come up with a build that doesnt even resemble the guide builds that gets to T3?
Agreed… all the people that say “I’m gonna try a diff class” after playing SB basically stopped after 30min when they realized they’re gonna be doing 1/100th the damage.
What was the point of the PTR if streamers were already aware of these bugs and they still went live with it anyway?
Yeah those cosmetics are drops you have to get lucky on lmao. As for vendor cosmetics… im not doing that place like 20 times just for one cosmetic. Even the scrolls are 2k. Why would I do that when I can do a 10 minute horde and get 2 scrolls?
Wrong. Im still on my campaign playthrough in its entirety on my Companion Druid. Doesn’t matter what the outcome or the end result is. Whether its comparable to the SB or not. The point is to do the things that I enjoy regardless of what people on forums think people should be doing.
There’s another way the class hurts other players.
My sorcereress depends on keeping mobs burning for DR and mana regen. Without those she becomes a lot weaker. And in HC weakness means death. So when I’m following a Realmwalker and an SB swoops in then starts insta-wiping everything I have to go to a different zone or risk dying. Thanks for nothing, Blizzard. Because literally nothing is what’s left when an SB joins you in the over world.
This is by far the worst season we have ever had not just because of the atrocious balance (makes barber heart fiasco look like a gnat) but the bugs and crashes and lag. The game is near unplayable. When you can play nothing works. That is not acceptable. Im not saying like this to sensationalize. This is the reality. This really is a complete failure in almost every aspect of the game including LITERALLY the aspects! I dont even think aspects work right. None of mine are updating now.
There’s a known bug that if you claim an ancestral aspect then you can ONLY upgrade it with another ancestral aspect. So if you get a 3/16 from and ancestral then later an 8/16 with a normal legendary you’ll be stuck with the 3/16 one. But if you find a 7/16 or 11/16 ancestral it will upgrade.
So, unless you find an ancestral better than the best possible normal aspect DO NOT SALVAGE IT. You’ll be stuck if you do.

Make another SB it looks like? Will that even work??? So Im stuck with a couple low rolls now unless I salvage GA that I dont need that are awesome? This season just gets better and better! unbeliebs
There’s not much you can do except switch realms (from SC to HC or visa versa) or wait until Blizzard fixes the problem. It pretty much sucks @$$. (And not in a fun way for those into that kind of thing… no kink shaming here)
The decision to make this game an MMO is baffling. It would be problem-free as a single-player experience, or better yet, with an offline mode that lets us play without the need for divine intervention.
