Spiritborn being the highest armor class is Hella irony

Like what a strange thing for the class wearing the least amount of clothing generally wants the most armor possible

20 gorilla hide characters

I mean the mechanic of armor changing to weapon damage doesn’t really scream spiritborn.

I’m at 4000 armor cause it makes my character so broken

Really i think they just used chatgpt to get ideas for spiritborn aspects.

If we want to try to rationalize it though…

In D&D, characters who don’t wear armor have access to significant armor bonuses from dexterity. Spiritborn is a pure dex class with an acrobatic fighting style. Perhaps that astronomical defense is a function of scaling acrobatic capabilities… which directly enhances their acrobatic attacks.

In that case, it would still make more sense for the damage to scale from dexterity than armor… but we’re probably already putting way more thought into it than blizzard did.
