Wow.
Well if it hadn’t been made clear to me already, the last hour of boss farming just elucidated the gap between SB and other classes.
It’s more of an ocean than a gap.
My sorc is level 200, has maxed armor, maxed resists with incense, all her gear pieces, and 2 mythics. I’m playing the LS build which is apparently the strongest build for this class, and it’s complete minus some MW crits which are tedious due to raw material shortages.
I just did an hour of T4 boss farming with an sorc, a rogue, and a SB.
Boss drops and is dead before it can even start its animation, SB was running an orange quill build. For kicks I stopped attacking, slowly the other sorc, and rogue did to. Boss still died in less than 1 second.
Curious I looked at the SB gear, I actually had better MW crits than he did. His gear, while good, was not perfect by any means.
For the next hour me and 2 other people watched the SB kill a T4 boss instantly, our job was basically to provide mats at the appropriate time.
For kicks, I assume, the SB didn’t attack during one Duriel run. All 3 of us started attacking and Duriel killed 2 of us. We managed to bring his health bar down by around 15 percent. The SB, like a concerned parent, slew Duriel instantly and rezzed us.
This is insane. Like there have been disparities in builds in previous seasons, some classes are definitely far stronger, but the difference between SB and everyone else is several orders of magnitude.
I know people will say “stop complaining, just roll a SB like the rest of us”. Yea I guess I better, you can tell T4 was clearly designed to be challenging and due to a series of bugs and broken interactions, the SB is doing countless trillions and trivializing the hardest content instantly.
I know Blizzard wants to move units, but honestly this level of imbalance is just sad. It feels like playing as one of the red shirt star trek guys, you know your role is to die or at best not get in the way while the main character does his thing.
