Spiritborn and Sorc exploits

So how does this work…given that there are 2 builds on these classes that are using bugs / exploits in the game to clear pit 150’s in 2-5 min. Was this a thing in previous seasons? Did those 150 runs get removed from the leaderboards and the exploits fixed?

just curious…and annoyed that I am still struggling on pit 140 on a class with no exploits (even though it’s a great spec).

I have a feeling the best class team is the druid devs, they fixed a similar bug earlier in the season within 24 hours, every other class gets the “We won’t nerf or fix bugs until the new season” .

It will be interesting to see how these 2 classes are handled.

The memes about druids are real

nothing to see here, move along.

What happened to druids? I only read about barbs since that’s what I play…but I was loading my pit run and saw the 150 3 min pits and was like WHAT

The sorc build is not based on bugs (at least not from the witch powers). Watch Mekuna’s video. The spiritborn IS based on bug.

The ultimate infinite damage version of the Fireball build that relies on a chain of like 7 different bugs including ‍Shatter, ‍Greater Fireball, ‍Witching Hour, Decay Augmentation, Purging Touch and more!

it literally says it on the guides…perhaps they are not bugs but they are exploits and not intended to work this way

i did a 136 pit tonight on my sorc.

it’s the highest i have ever gone in any season with one.

FEELS SO GOOD!

I did a 136 on barb and it felt great…but all that feeling great got purged when I saw the sorc clear pits with 1% of the hassle and trouble I had to go through to get there…

Hopefully they fix the bugs asap. They should address the (lack of) class balance (yes necros, I’m looking at you) but don’t expect that after spiritborn wasn’t fixed for so long.

Decay Augmentation works as intended. Most of the power comes when you combine it with Purging touch and two other eldrich powers. But there are no bugs about that interaction. It’s literally in the description of both how they feed into each other and into the skill. I think Mekuna mentioned that fireball itself has some double dipping interaction with shatter or whatever, since S4, which is probably a bug. But I think most of the damage comes from the witch powers, which in this case are not bugged.

Whereas the spiritborn is 100% based on bugs:

I did say bug / exploits in the first post…While the sorc interaction is not a bug as it works as the tooltip says…It cannot be that it was intended to work like this and create such a big dmg multiplier only for that class

That’s thing, I don’t think it’s only for that class. Any class that has a skill that can do hundreds of thousands of base damage (like fireball base damage of 600k) will most probably give the same result. I am almost sure that Blizzard can be ~5x stronger than fireball with this setup.
I intend to test it on my poison rogue.

I wonder if decay augmenation bug works on barbs as well somehow

Yes, you just need to find a skill that can reach hundreds of thousands of base damage.

Hmm…that might be difficult :))

The whole point is that without exploits, nothing will work there.
But there is an interesting thing in the video.
I’m talking about the “Lurkin” video.
At the beginning of the video, he has 3800 damage, at the end 5300, and this is clearly not a buff, since there is not a single buff that would last about 30 seconds. And he demonstrates equipment and skills clearly longer.
I think that this is a specially left bug that is then provided to streamers in order to nerf the class. Otherwise, streamers would only find them after the middle of the season, and partially understand how they work. Everything is done there by trial and error.
And of course, it is suspicious that they know that there will be no ban for these bugs.

Blizzard never bans players for long even for obvious exploits (anybody remembers Ensidia Icecrown bug abuse in Wow? They got 3 day ban).

I was banned for bad behavior on the forum at one time, and not just once.
It’s strange that for using an exploit only 3 days, and for expressing my opinion almost a month.

They treat exploits a lot lighter then forum access. After all if you can’t talk you can still play, so there is a chance that you’ll buy something from their shop, right?

Welcome to the club. I started liking being ban, though. It gives me a break from the forum. It won’t change my opinion or the way I express it, but vacation is vacation nonetheless.
