Spent my first 6 Favor on the orange portal and it took my Favor but the orange portal is still locked.
This is in the Deluxe Pass.

Just had the exact same problem, went to buy the portal, and it took 6 coins and then gave me nothing, and the portal is still there for purchase…

Same here. 8 coins spent on a horse (Free Pass), an error occurred, the coins are gone and the horse was not unlocked.

At least I bought the barding only (5 coins) but yes, spent and didn’t get it

I’m going to try and restarting the game. Maybe it’ll update it on it’s own.
