And that is it’s problem also. They packed all the solutions to the problems of the necro into one skill.
In theory we have an more offensive ultimate with Soulrift and a more defensive one with Bone Storm. Both generate Barrier as its main purpose.
The problem with Bone Storm is, that it needs 2 additional legendary aspects.
There is absolutely no reason Bone Storm shouldn’t have Shielding Storm by default and it should be at maximum barrier gain, no additional barrier by Ultimate Shadow.
Ultimate Shadow needs a rework for Bone Storm or the Bone Storm part should be deleted.
And very importantly, Soulrift feels good as an ultimate skill.
You can build around it with more duration and an unique helm (The Unmaker)
The Unmaker’s damage would be nice if dot damage would be better.
Making Soulrift snapshots all buffs, making Unmaker crit and overpower all the time is not what it should be. Snapshotting itself is a problem in Diablo 4.
Army of the dead needs a rework as well.
Why not make the Volatile Skeletons also attack like real skeletons 5 times, exploding every time and then die leaving a corpse behind. That way the Necromancer really has an army for a short time. Having a Tempering recipe for Army of the Dead duration would be nice as well.

I think soulrift is fine. I hope they don’t nerf it, but I’m in agreement of changing or upping the other ultimates. I noticed a lot of other classes have this same issue. Maybe make more uniques for these skills. There’s a lot they can do.
I would like to Army of the Dead increase minion damage “×” % for the duration (7-10 seconds). In addition, raise extra 2 warriors/mages till they die and their atacks reduce cd by 0.1 secs.
