Hi their,
so I tested Blizzard, the sorc’s Mastery skill.
BUGs and complaines I and every other player should experienced with that skill:
- there is an Ice Spikes aspect, it is hit-based, it can crit, but it can’t apply enchantments (lucky hits or direct damage) e.g. Fire bolt enchantment doesn’t work
- Blizzard is a DOT-spell, like I understand DOT in D4, several sources of DOT can stack, but Blizzard is the one an only DOT cold spell and the aspect that make enemies take more burn damage based on DOT damage on life bar is higher than actual life works for burn spells, but Blizzard → conclusion make a hit-based spell like hydra, which also a time component but deals direct damage and to have a synergy between Ice spike aspect and Blizzard
- The lucky hit chance is distributed over the time of the Blizzard spell. If you take the specialisation with 4 seconds extra time, will this make your Blizzard less efficient? You barely take advantage of avalanche in Boss fights with high lucky hit boosts.
So there are a lot of design decissions or balances to be done, not just Blizzard, other Sorc spells as well.
Thank you for fixing the game otherwise you will have again a Diablo IV what’s a Diablo III, where every class just has one Build. The Skill tree is very straightfoward, so let every skill be a star not just Ice Shard or Unstable Arc Lash.
