Sorceror Enchantment slot over complex8

I just wanted to talk how complex the enchantment slot is on sorceror, a lot of people may NOT know this but the enchantment slot alot apply “Some” of the skills passive traits within the ability

Example if you slot meteor and also have the 30% faster trait you meteor u summon on lucky hits also fall 30% faster

Another example

Fire ball on its own just does 50% damage when you kill and enemy, how ever if you have destructive fireball trait, you fire ball when you kill a target can also explode for 10% increase critical damage

Next is teleport, when slotted as an enchantment slot it replaces evade with teleport, it also allows you to have 3 teleports if you have 2x evade on boots, also adding more points to teleport reduce the cd time of teleport, and on top of this u will also recieve the 30% damage reduction after teleporting …so this means u get 3x teleport with 3x 30% reduce damage taken after teleport

Ingame this is massively overlooked and does NOT tell you this detail anywhere

So this alone skyrockets building sorceror even more complex then it need to be

These are a few i have found out, just wish the game gave us more details on what passives follows over and which doesnt…because NOT all passive skill effect carry over to the enchantment slot

Certain modifier also carry over to enchantment slots

Example

Teleport also gain the 30% damage reduction when put into the enchantment slot whist picking up the 30% damage reduction passive for teleport

Ohhh maybe it is a console thing…cause we cannot see which passive traits effect the enchantment slot

The “MODIFIERS” of teleport are just the passive skills/runes that you picked in your skill tree. In my example below it’s teleport’s cooldown reduction + 30% damage reduction after teleporting.

The “ENCHANTMENT EFFECT” is the one that applies if you put the teleport into one of two of your enchantment slots. In this case it would replace my evade with a mini teleport on a 17 second cooldown.

I have asked before and the general consensus was only the base effect applied to enhancements. It would be nice if that was wrong.

I think this is actually done purposefully to add to build complexity. It’d be really boring and enchantments would be “meh” if they just did “base” effects. It makes choosing enchantments fun and while some are incredibly powerful “1 point wonders”, picking an enchantment that you’ve invested many points into can pay off greater when it’s Enchantment bonus or effects trigger.

Yes but if u also have the shimmering teleport upgrade aswell you get the damage reduction on evade

I am doing it right now in game i have 3x teleport , 1 with the skill 2 on evade and every time i use evade i get the damage reduction buff without even pressing teleport as a skill

It is.
At one point, I had flame shield enchanted (have long since gotten rid of it) One of my passives was it healed you for 50% health. SO when I died, flame shield procced and I was back and with 50% health.

Passives DO proc with enchantments. They also proc with all the modifiers from the skill tree. My enchanted Ice Barrier lasts 5% longer when it procs.

The problem with the enchantment system, you feel in any build you slot, that alpha Sorc hat 3 slots, and all her skills were designed with 3 slots in mind.

But with the alpha to closed beta Nerf, and the reduction to 2 slots.

You are always 1 slot short for a good build, were 3 enchantment slots build into each other.

oh wow yea, I can see that. With 3 slots I could really take my build to next level.
