Why is it that my level 36 necromancer with hardly any gear base damage with weapons alone is almost as strong as my level 51 sorcerer? My sorcerer has 2 or 3 legendaries and its dying on lowest tier enemies at world tier 3 nightmare? Devs nerfed the sorcerer sooo much that only the ice shard build is viable… (assuming you have the proper gear at 50 to even have a chance to get strong enough to kill elites) thats just pathtetic… there a barbarian build soo op its doing millions to billions yet you are nerfing a sorcerer which by default should be the very definition of op even in comaparison to a druid and barbarian, that it cant even function starting out at world tier 3 with minimal to no legendary at level gear… why?

Because there’s a ton of players who are terrible at creating builds.
I’ve been face tanking WT3 since I got all Sacred gear at level 50, as Fire Sorc using Incinerate.
That doesnt answer my question though without legendary item buffing damage my necro at 36 is pulling more dps with rare items… there no balance… they still heavily nerfed the sorcerer waay to much. This was never the case in diablo 3 or diablo games before had. If you were 10 levels above anything your damage was way higher. How is it a level 36 necromancer has the same damage in stats as a level 51 sorcerer just starting out in tier3? Ive respec every viable build out there and there so based on legendary items (specific ones to be exact and most aspects not even found at dunguens) that a new player just getting to 50 cant function… and if it just me how do i fix this? Do i go back to tier 2 at 50 and farm legendary gear? Cuz ive respec 7 dofferent times trying icy veins builds and my owns build in skill tree. My wizard just dies… i cant do anything… my necro mancer at 36 is now more op… this is just ridiculous
As I’ve said before.
One can’t simply trow in random legendaries with random/bad passives and expect to have a solid character. (For any class)
Yes some classes may fair a bit better doing that. But ultimately all of them suffer because of it.
Whats your build?
Currently something ive thrown together with a fire wall build. Thats not working i lack legendary items. The arclash build was doing fine until i went to tier 3… i tried the ice shard build but had no appropriate legendaries to make it work so i reespeced again i tried the firewall build… good defence but no damage… i have one good legendary that way under leveled… that the bubble of invunerable for 6 seconds… i have a few aspects in my inventory for a shock build and the meteorite aspect but thats it. I got nothing all that grinding to 50 for nothing… im stuck…

You are terrible at creating builds.
Having skills and legendaries is worthless if you aren’t set up properly. People are whining about how Sorcerer cannot do this or that, but I had no issues leveling as Fire, using Incinerate, because I actually took the time to understand the game and WTF I was building.
So how come the guy incharge of sorc build guides and wizard main for past like 10+ years cant figure out any new sorc builds hes bad at making builds right rank 1 player yeah

How am i terrible i respec to what the internet says its not that my skills suck. I lack the legendaries… and equipment to make it work… why is it ive tried and respeced to every build so far and still cant get through world tier 3 ive tried iceveins ive tried youtibe they all require rng and the legendaries to make builds work. You know what im just gonna go back to tier 2 and see if i cant get more legendaries. Your telling me the oppossite of what im seeing… your saying my build sucks… yeah it sucks. But your not telling me how or what to do to make it better. Quite honestly your terrible at this. I just basically answered my own question. Thanks for nothing. Next time say how, where, and why… seriously if i knew everything like you do about this game i wouldnt be a sarcastic snob about ot saying to somone you just suck im doing just fine
At the moment Pyro sorcerer is a very much late game build. (And lacking compared to ice and lighting)
Sure you can do all World Tiers with fire build, but you’ll have to put a ton effort into your build to make it work.
Not trying to be mean at all, but if you’re generally not very good at making builds and actually minmaxing the smallest details. You picked the hardest element to build for.
Ima just go back to tier 2 and farm the legendaries for a good build… clearly i wrnt ahead to far…
Well ice shards legendary comes from a dungeon just do dungeon in T1 and you got it

just gotta play a little slower early till you get gear with right rolls like you will be using firebolt or frostbolt for mana generation the power that gives 15 mana when you use a cooldown is also from a dungeon though
See that answers my question tysm. Ill youtube or google those dungeons. Idk ehat that other guy was thinking… you dont just say someone sucks. It physchology 101. And proper education… how when where and why… then you say what they did wrong. How they did wrong. Uplift that person and say where to go about to get what they need done. Not just that i suck and doing it wrong…

No problem we all here trying to enjoy D4 even if sorc is one of the weaker classes still fun playstyle im also working on a end game fire build atm will post it here once i get all the perfect gear and im happy with damage
I know it sucks… i loved the wizard class in diablo 3… thats what made me choose sorcerer
You started out with whining about how bad the class is, like tons of other people. What do you expect? Warm welcome?
All you have said is “I have some legendaries, but I need more.” What, exactly, do you expect anyone to do with that?
There are guides all over the internet. All people seem to get out of them is “I need these EXACT THINGS or the game sucks.”
It’s an ARPG.
- You need DEFENSE. Strength, Armor, Damage reduction. Damage reduction vs close. Damage reduction vs distant.
- You need OFFENSE. Intelligence. Increased damage.
It is not. Literally pick defensive equipment, grab the Fire Passives in the skill tree, and stand in your fire walls. If something stays at range, hit it with Fire Bolt. It’s literally that simple. Warmth heals you. Soulfire and Fiery Surge helps with Mana costs. Fire Wall passive and Endless Pyre builds the damage up.
No Legendaries are needed.

I kind of sympathize with Xelqypla’s position, because I thought the same thing. Until I leveled up some more. Monsters keep getting stronger and our skill don’t quite scale up unless you pigeon hole yourself into a specific meta build.
It will happen to you as well, Xel. Just keep leveling up and you will see. You will be stacking different damage modifiers and wonder why you aren’t deleting mobs anymore. Until you try ice shard.
I didn’t understand this way of behaving. What do you think, that we are all stupid here and you are the only intelligent one? I don’t expect warm welcomes from the game at all, and I’ve been playing since D1, starting it with MS-DOS, believe it or not. What you fail to mention when you talk about your genius is that, at the same level and with the same equipment, the Barbarian and the Rogue deal much more damage and conclude battles much faster and with less effort. This is mathematics, there’s not much to discuss. Or do you think that all the geniuses on Earth have chosen the Barbarian, and only idiots play the Sorceress?
