Sorcerer in a nutshell - a little story

So i managed to do a iceshards build with 100% avalanche uptime, 90% atack speed bonus and GA lucky hit on everything…running tyrael for “extra” damage and starless skies. That was beautifull having no mana issues as a SORCERER (???)… if i did any damage with it. Turns out avalanche buff of x15% is useless as the base damage of sorc frost skills suck.

So, i decided to farm some glyphs for that amazing huge meteor build…

I had GA tyrael, recently buffed elemental attunement and resistance glyphs to have amazing 86% fire resistance, then a exploding fireball appeared on a NMD… “oh, let me test my new tankiness by the way”… got one shot as always.

By the way, the meteor build with “buffed” stuff turned out to do less than a million damage on my GIGANTIC meteor on minions faces.

So i tested all the other "“buffed” key passives and all that new tankiness added to sorcerer and turns out everything suck and i still get one shotted by almost everything.

So i realized, the best hotkey to use as a sorcerer player is ALT+F4 and the best skill you can have on your roster is deep freeze to hybernate while we wait for POE2

Base damage is generally level for all classes, with some skills having bad damage really, but we don’t have enough modifiers to push our damage up. We are the class most starved for modifers, we have the worst modifiers on our paragon board, aspects and capstones compared to every other class by a country mile.

That’s why we can’t scale our damage up as high as other classes (including Druid) can.
