Sorcerer - End Game Build Query

Afternoon all,

I am hoping someone can very quickly clear up an issue I am encountering when putting together my sorcerer build. I am currently using the following guide:

Arc Lash Sorcerer Endgame Guide - D4 Maxroll.gg (wont let me post the link but easily googled)

What I can’t work out is the author suggests putting points into the Conjuration tree namely:
Conjuration Mastery x3 (You deal 3% increased damage for each active conjuration)

He also suggests using the following Paragon Board:
Elemental Summoner (Your Conj skills have a 5% reduced cooldown or mana cost per conj skill you have equipped).

The skills he recommends using are:
Arc Lash (Basic)
Frost Nova (Defensive)
Teleport (Defensive)
Flame Shield (Defensive)
Unstable Currents (Ultimate)
Ice Armour (Defensive)

Not any of the above skills are conjuration skills so I can’t work out why he is advising to put skill points/paragon points into the above??

Same question for me. I noticed this and I’m also confused

I am going to assume it is the unstable currents that is the reasoning behind it. When using unstable currents you automatically cast shock skills even if you have no points invested into them. So when the lightning lances are cast you would get the damage buff. But no idea why they would take the legendary node, that makes no sense at all.

But the board itself is worth using just don’t take the legendary node.

The Elemental Summoner Paragon Node is not taken at all, just the nodes around: Swift Conjurer and Conjurer with Adept Glyph at the center. I didn’t do any maths around this, but I think he did the fastest way to hone your build.
About the Conj Mastery, everytime you cast Unstable Currents you get around 3-4 Lightning Lances, so you get 3% for each one.

Thanks for the replies guys - makes sense
