Sorcerer Cosmetics and Customization

I am dissatisfied with the wizard character not having any male outfits. My wizard character looks feminine in any configuration. I am asking you to please fix this for me because its upsetting to the point of not wanting to play diablo 4 anymore. No offense to anyone but I will not play a game with a cross dressing male character that I do not identify with that at all. thanks for your understanding

Hear ya. To be fair, though, it is a class know for wearing elegant, ornate things alongside dresses in most other media…

Usually best to grab a female character when you know the outfits are gonn appear a certain way.

Personally, I just dont like most the outfits for sorcerer in general. Most are fairly lackluster, but after staring at rogue’s and nercomamcer’s stuff, my bar might be a little high.

I know and agree with you but when you put on the armor on the male character the armor retain the female shape plus the male character does not move or look masculine at all. This issue is not present in Diablo 3.

Both male and female need more ‘just pants’ options.

Bump.

Pay shop cosmetics are horrible as well. Fortune teller at a circus every single one of them.

Take a look at the Fairy Tail anime and go off those designs, Blizzard.

How about I buy you a Bud Light and we can talk it over? :smirk:

What I’ll never understand about Blizzard and their mage/sorcerer cosmetics is that you have a class focusing on fire, lightning, ice, and sometimes arcane…

Why aren’t your sets built around those?

Have some cool fire animation on the shoulders

Or lightning running through the set

Or ice shards with a frosty glow throughout the set

It would look great and you wouldn’t have these ridiculous helms that reach to the sky

Well to be fair they have that in game. Completing the campaign rewards a lighting themed set. Then when you move into T3+ you can get the Doom and Warlord sets which are fire and ice themed respectively. As far as I am concerned those are the only good looking sets and I’ve been personally using the Doom one on my Sorcerer since I use a Fire build.

That said, OP is correct in that virtually all of the outfits seem to have been designed only with the female body shape in mind and retain the same exaggerated cleavage on male characters which just looks silly. Arguably the best store cosmetic set to date, the Fractured one, has a face covering and headdress that is traditionally only worn by women and worse yet a literal two piece brassiere under the armor which doesn’t change on the male body.

It’s not even about toxic masculinity concerns about looking “feminine” on a male character, which sadly the OP seems to be implying, it’s just laziness on Blizzard’s part in updating the outfits because they took the easy route and assumed most people playing Sorcerer would want to recreate their D2 Sorceress and didn’t bother altering the outfits for male characters.

Heh! Thought I was the only one who’s disappointed at the Wardrobe implementation. D3 had much wider variety and differentiation - a mage could look like Gandalf complete with the famous hat or more like Dr Strange if you wanted. D4, you get 1 set of pants (seriously) and a variety of silly helms and facemasks (not that I use these because what’s the point when you’ve spent time on customising your characters facial features).

I haven’t seen anything in the Store worth paying for yet.

C’mon Blizzard, buck up.

I was going to create a thread like this, but instead I’ll necro this one.

The male sorcerer cosmetics are horrible and only made for female characters… Please stop with the bare chest, veils, and frills. You made some, you checked the box, now stop it. Just stop it… The cosmetics and armor for the sorc are the worst in the game (unless you’re female). What person just wants man boob hanging out there in a long V neck? The hell blizzard…

I really, really, really want a Gandalf-like pointy hat or a chest piece that doesn’t show the nipples, admittedly, after looking at the barbs and rogues and druid pieces with amazing particle and light effects on them I feel really sad about my sorc look. At least in D3 I could grab that yellow pointy hat and the barb might of the earth set that looked like a proper mix between armor and robe. Like medieval style. no veils frills and bare chest, ugh.

I guess I’ll be waiting for an Ice themed or Fire themed one with some cool particle effect before spending anymore money in this game. I wanted to ask for a refund to what I bought so far after seeing rogues and barb stuff literally on fire and full of amazing particle effects.

I just want some cool and powerful sorc sets. They’re mostly lame, the rogue has a couple of cool looking sets that would look good as a sorc such as the Bloodsworn Hunter on the shop that would look amazing converted to sorc as is. If more sets looked like the Oasis Healer that would be nice too.
