Do you other Sorcs keep aspects from the other trees if they are not potentially something you can swap to easily? Maybe even the Key Passives.
I mean I can see keeping something like Flame shield, Ice Armor or Teleport because you can easily swap those in. But is it worth it to keep anything else?
Also what is the difference between a sacred aspect? Can I not put that on a regular weapon?
The aspects are broken as far as I can tell. I have one imprint that gave 1800 with a range of 2500 to 5000. That sacred/ancestor layer might have been why. But I get ancestor aspects that are no better than sacred aspects, too.
So it is the Blizzard broken RNG again. It is all random chance.
And no - having tried to be a fire sorc, and not being happy with the play style it required (and inability to progress solo) I won’t be keeping fire gear or aspects. With paragon also being build specific (fire vs ice pages you attach and the cost to undo choices) – keeping fire gear no longer makes sense.
Usually sorcs at that level have to kinda switch around at will, regardless of gold spent. Maybe focus on a more mobile build, but I haven’t played a sorc so I dont know anything about it.
Pull an aspect off an item, the aspect says it will provide 3600, but when imprinted only gives 1800. Has happened a few times now. Not sure, but the range shown is much higher than the value given. A bug of some sort.
And, there are differences in aspects by type. Hence the different colors assigned. Ancestral generally should have “better” spec ranges than sacred - not always, but I have seen a trend. Though only been playing T4 for a few days.
Aspects get +100% effectiveness on 2H weapons, +50% on amulets. So if you pull it off one of those, the shown range will shrink accordingly. But the aspect hasn’t changed at all. If you put it back on a 2H weapon, the range will double again.
I understand the 1h 2h neck differences, but that isn’t what I am seeing.
e.g., The range displayed is 2500 to 5000, yet, the value supplied is 1800 (well below the range shown). In stash and before being applied, it was 3600.
If that’s the case, then we already discussed this in another thread.
Some aspects show you the damage range, they don’t show you the %Damage. The %Damage of the aspect never changes, but the damage range does change based on your character and what gear/skills you have equipped when you’re looking at it.
45% Lightning Damage for me is a different damage number than 45% Lightning Damage for you. But it’s still the same 45% Lightning Damage for both of us. The aspect doesn’t change.
