I know people love the Sorc but I’m just not having fun with her. She is my fifth seasonal character (maybe it’s burnout). I have played to level 100:
Dust Devil Barb - massive fun
Minion Necro - easy mode but still fun
Heartseeker Rogue - one click wonder but fun
Tornado Druid - omg, so much fun
And then there is the sorc. I first tried Frozen Orb and she couldn’t kill anything and kept running out of mana. I switched to a Blizzard Sorc and now she can kill stuff (slowly) but she still keeps running out of mana.
I’m going to finish up her Wolves track for the Spark but then I think she’s gonna hang it up.

What did you expect? A class that doesn’t do damage isn’t fun.
Diablo 4 is for barbarians only.

Bugged build that will not make it to live. Same as the FO sorc from the S4 ptr that got massively nerfed.
But, but, quadrillionnnnnnnnnnnn!
Sorc has been not fun since the people that started the design on the class left Blizzard.

I’m telling you Sorc will be lucky to see a damage tick above 4 million once the season drops. History always repeats.
Rogues will get stealth nerfs that are not in the patch notes.
Necro will get a bug fix that breaks at least one build positively and 3 others negatively.
Barbs top build that did a billion damage previously will now only to 50 million.
And Druids will be forgotten yet again.

The sorcerer seems to be highly dependent on the enchantments. Did you unlock yours yet?
I see that somebody hasn’t tried Incinerate yet.
There is no point. Firstly, fire is not particularly prone to critical damage. That is, among fire skills, 1-2 skills cause critical damage. Although this is Blizzard, we will soon begin to heal the bosses with their mistakes.
Sorc is no fun until u can pull of that immortal build

u even out run anyone with their horse and everything instantly dies
F orb is highly dependent on uber ring and helm and +3 winterglass so you can hit +5 with 3 masterwork crits (basically impossible). Having starless skies is the most important item in the build after winterglass. After that get a +6 mana a sec chest and your mana issues are gone. Your winterglass all that matters is the bonus to conjure mastery. Get +3 will help so much. +2 is usable still but dont masterwork reset it. +1 is trash never use it. Even if every other affix is greater its worthless. The problem with this build is that it still really relies on flameshield duration so you need cooldown and cooldown gears cost $$$ so either trade items on dtrade or forget about this build. Just a focus with greater cooldown ( which u need so bad) is 1 to 2 billion with nothing else. Good stuff like greater crit chance with greater CD is 10B+. IF ur using john snow version forget the points in flameshield bonuses. Just get 5/5 flameshield and not 7/7. Put the saved points and one more other point in spear to spear stun. It smooths it out so much and helps boss stuns. Also if you play eternal this build is dead as flameshield is dead so it needs complete rework and all the tempers and most the stuff u are doing now will be worthless later.
Hmm my most fun fave class. Died 20 times this season but every build is curiously improving. To each their own as they say.
It’s worth remembering that there’s no point in saying that someone achieved quadrillions of damage if no one else can.
Sorc fire skills have massive mana reduction perks which makes it easy to use. As for Ice, I do have a successful Ice Shard Sorc build you can use if you want it.
A couple of points:
1.) Lack of mana is a common issue with sorcs. This is fixed relatively easily in a number of ways (tibault, starless, shako, tal rasha) but more commonly fixed by just having mana cost reduction and mana generation affixes on multiple equipment. There are also lots of spects that fix mana issues. Go to the sorc forum with any questions or look at maxroll.gg to review their text on how to solve mana issues.
2.) With a good blizz sorc build (and 8 out of 12 upgrades), you should ramp up to around 6 to 7m per tick, and this should carry you to pit 110
3.) Sorc class is the worst class overall due to heavy nerfs of damage and defense. Likely it will remain the worst class until s6 IF the devs actually care about the class and put forth meaningful effort into understanding our pain points. Right now barb is only thing they care about. Btw: im excluding the bugged firebolt / perma firehsield build that all sorcs hate. It will be moot next season anyway
