Why can I only enchant frost bolt and fire wall to my first enchament slot, trying to equip ice shards which are level 6 so and have the enchament unlocked. is this broken?

its ture, i just found out form a friend you have to click the very top left corner of the icon… stupid

I had the same problem after the patch.
I couldn’t drop a skill into the enchantment slots…What’s going on Blizzard you broke the game.
Normally you just drag and drop…(as long as the skill has a point in it).
I’m going to test this out to see if fixed or not.
Unassign skill from the Enchantment slot and then try and drag and drop it again.
Maybe this time I click around the slot to see if which works.
This top left corner thing does sound stupid…It should be just drag and drop on the slot and it slots into place.
I was in the middle of Helltides and notice one of my enchantment slots wasn’t triggering then I realized it had be removed because of the patch.
I tried the typical drag and drop and it wasn’t working, which got me worried.
So I’m going to test it now.

Just figured it out…you need the slot to be HIGHLIGHTED for it to drop.
The slot MUST be circle highlighted for it to drop.
So it’s NOT bugged it’s just that they have patched it so that you have to highlight the slot for it to drop into it…shrugs
Test it yourself.
Do this Unassign skill then click on skill you want to drag onto slot.
Drag click the skill over the slot once you see the circle highlight from the slot release mouse click and it drops into slot.
So yeah it works but more sensitive to highlighting slot for it to work.
I hope this helps people out.
But you may have to move and hover the skill around the slot for the circle highlight to appear…once it appears drop it or release mouse trigger.

Though I don’t know about console though or how console players do it.
