So here is my current problem.
Im not sure i like the whole season concept for diablo 4.
I have played all the diablo games and feel like some of the games suited seasons better than others.
Now althought i feel that seasons in D4 is gonna make the game less fun, i will say i dont know yet as i have not seen or tried what they are coming up with.
However, the problem i am having now is this:
I have completed the campaign, i am currently level 74, all altars are discovered and all the renown rewards have been gained.
I am trying to level but feel the xp gain in NM dungeons are way to low, so i find the grinding slow and some times boring as i feel the progression is to slow.
I know the games is about the grind, but to me Diablo is more a game about grinding for the perfect gear, not to level up, but thats just how i feel about it.
Moreover, what makes this worse is that its all gonna reset in like 3-4 weeks, so is it worth me playing it anymore before the reset?
Some dev even said that everyone should play it and complete the campaign so that you can skip it on reset at the start of season one.
Well i have done that so now what?
Unless my character carries over to the first season, i dont see the point in playing past completing the campaign as ill just have to level up again in 3-4 weeks.
So again i ask, whats the point in playing past the campaign if it all gonna reset in 3-4 weeks unless your characters will carry over for the first season?
There will be no reset to your eternal realm character. If you intend to play it again during future seasons you may not be interested in, our during any gaps between end of one season and start of the next. Then it would be worth it to continue any goals you currently have.
I suppose if you save up your alts to one character type per season, it could make it less tedious to have to level up from the start every season.
But I really doubt that most people who aren’t used to having to do all the same content again and again every season from level one will like the system.
Hopefully there will be an expansion soon, since now it seems leveling up your characters is a bit pointless. There’s no end game content coming.
I know the eternal realm character wont reset, But thats my point.
If you can only progress the battlepass through seasons, then what is the point?
Because clearly playing on an eternal character is gonna become boring real quick how they set this up as seasonal players are gonna get all the fun parts first.
Dont get me wrong, i will be a seasonal player, or rather i think i will be depending on how they deal with the whole mess thats going on.
But as such, i dont see a point as a seasonal player to keep playing past the campaign before the first season starts, which i find strange.
You’re not wrong, and it makes it even more bizarre that they elected to delay the season’s launch for over a month.
There’s quite literally no reason to play if you’re looking for rewards atm. Didn’t need to be the case. They could’ve at least let players renown progression carry over.

I however am going to just touch the Season for the rewards. Once I’m done getting through that Battlepass, I"m going back to Eternal Realm. No point in staying with the Season Server.
im gonna be honest, i didnt even think about that.
I do have a question for you tho, after you then have done the first battlepass, will you be doing the same for the next one or are you just doing it because it came with the bundle you bought and you kind of feel like you have to to get your moneys worth?
The battle pass is a bunch of cosmetic stuff. I think that’s all you’re missing in seasons? Not a big deal. No one cares about your cosmetics. No one cares about your titles. It’s just stuff.
I’m gonna play a new character each season. When I run out of characters, unless the meta has shifted dramatically, I’ll move on and play another game.
That’s how I see it. It’s not like any of the stuff I found on my sorc is gonna help my rogue anyways. I guess there’s the gold but that’s about it.
Suits said the game has to be released. WE NEED $$$$$. Devs had no other options to release this unfished game. Now they have to fix this mess. You hear it all the time. This is a live service blablabla… we will fix it. D3 started the same. 10 years of fixing. D4 needs probably the same amount of time.
There’s no point in playing if you aren’t having fun.

If you don’t like starting a character from scratch, then Seasons is not for you. Many enjoy the fresh start and grind.
In previous Diablo games, you actually start from square #1 with nothing so D4 transferring parts of the eternal realm when Season starts is actually a tangent (and in a good way to help accelerate the season start and with the grind).
There is no point at all unless you want to train and perfect your strategy or maybe test out all classes to decide which one you’ll play on Season 1.
I think the point is to get a feel for which class you want to play once season 1 starts.
So are games like Rust and Tarkov pointless because they wipe regularly too? They seem pretty well liked to me

Going to do it for every Season. There’s the free battlepass everyone gets. Cheap stuff. Then there’s the paid version on top of the free battlepass. If anything is appealing, I might just convert a WoW token for it. No need to spend real money.
I will still be playing my eternal realm characters a bit during season. 3 months is plenty of time to do everything in the season. You can easily work on your eternals at the same time. Your eternal characters are going nowhere. You’re merely given the option to try a different spin on the game with a fresh character and you have 3 whole months to see all the new stuff.
You should not play at all.
i wouldn’t worry too much about leveling your character past like 70 honestly. I would focus on renown, and lilith statues.
