I think its coming in expansion or after on season 7. They said they want players to have more control over difficulty of content. I see this being way more than just WT5. I think its going to go back to torment levels and will go from 1 to 10 and there will no longer be a capstone dungeon.

Will see based on where the expansion goes. We will have stats redistribution. I doubt will see changes to difficulty till then.

And we most definitely do not want a repeat of the s*** D3 difficulty system was. Tier 4 level 100 mobs should be at minimum strong enough to pose a threat to any player, no matter what there gear is. Otherwise the OW falls flat on its face, and becomes nothing more than a boring grind.

Torment 2 will basically be world tier 5 by the sounds of it. Could even be wt6,7 and 8 for all we know

who TF cares about WT5? its just another number, another grind.

They need to fix barbs first…its BS how they suck major as now.

 These are the same people that will ask about all the changes coming in a patch a week after the patch notes release.

Yeah, sure that s what we need to keep moving the goal post without fixing the core issues with the game.
First they removed grinding renown
Then the game made it really easy getting to 100 but you have to grind materials in pits
Next they are going to triple the amount of material drops and add WT5 and make all progression before that trivial
Continue like that and you ll have a game with %90 of the content be trivial busy work

The problem is that the core design of the game is just bad, devs don t understand how to make progression tied with gameplay. Look at PoE, it just has one difficulty mode and it s its story mode, and people do it again every season! Because the journey is how you progress. There s no journey in D4, just a rush to max level and the repetitive grindaton at the end.

They already said in an interview that we’re getting Torment levels 1+, and that Torment 1 will unlock with clearing pit 14 or 15 or something. I think it makes sense to have later world tiers unlock with specific achievements to then increase the level of all the content so it can be challenging. I’m not sure how they are going to handle rewards from torment levels, but I hope it isn’t the only reward-boosting knob we get.
