When using Sony’s PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller wirelessly, the game does not recognize the controller as a paired device. If I were to connect the controller via a USB-C cable, the game recognizes the controller properly.
Please add wireless controller support for the Sony DualSense Wireless Controller. I have been using Steam Link to stream Diablo IV to my living room, but am unable to play from the couch as wireless is not yet supported. 
Loving the game so far though!
PS: Updated content to say “DualSense Wireless Controller” instead of “DualSense™ Edge Wireless Controller”

Just like D2R, the game uses XInput and has no support for the old DirectInput. You need a wrapper like DS4Windows or you’ll have to plug it in. Or get an XBox controller, which Windows natively supports through XInput and DirectInput wirelessly.

D4 recognizes dualsense edge now? When I plugged it in It didnt recognize it… nevermind just tested it D4 does not recognize dualsense edge controller but does recognize the original ps5 dualsense controller…

Good callout, I didn’t realize there were two types of ps5 controllers, I believe I have the “DualSense Wireless Controller”. I will edit my title and message to correct the misinformation.
I’m experiencing this same problem. Diablo 4 doesn’t recognize my PS5 Dualsense Edge controller when plugged in on PC and it’s very annoying. It works fine will all other games I play. Hopefully blizzard can support or fix this soon.
My ps5 dualsense controller works while plugged in directly to usb (most of the time, worst case unplug & replug) but it refuses to ever work over bluetooth. This is really odd because the same dualsense controller works fine via bluetooth for Diablo Immortal.
There’s a developer somewhere on one of those teams who knows how to fix the issue but this is so low priority that it’s going to take some time before the information gets to the right person.
I am having the same exact issue. Has anyone heard if this is going to be addressed?
