Guys, first of all I’ve a 97 Druid, 96 Barb. I’m currently on Barb, why is that happen ? My char does 100K sometimes, my base crit chance is 41% With WW aspect it’s 100% Vulnerable always working. Sometimes my character doing a lot of 100k damage which is annoying. Also, all damages are yellow colored, so crits
Noticed such things too. Also I sometimes got different Attackpower after relog (No I do not used any pots).
Kinda wierd. At Barb there are some things broken and you have to recast WW for full potential for example. And I guess the servers bring it’s own nightmare level in terms of the correct math.
But math should be 100% true right ? I’m still crushing all the game but 100k and 2M.
Could it be monsters having dr?
On my rogue some monsters are more resilient than others
Problem is, I do hit to the same monster. 100k 100k 500k example. If it has a DR why my char not hitting the same amount ?
That’s because all the damage in the game is conditional. If you don’t meet those conditions, your damage tanks. Fun and great design, isn’t it?
The devs think that makes the game dynamic! The reality is it makes the game feel clunky and inconsistent.
Chill? Some hits calculated before +dmg increase to close targets kick in?
can be based on lucky hit effect , on effect based of enemy being frozen etc… , on enemies being “vulnerable” , on attack range , on enemies’DR towards specific attacks , on critical hit or super critical hits, overpower, to enemies physical defense, magic resist etc…
way too many modifiers to make something constant.
The Server is Just guessing your Numbers so the Traffic is cheaper.
Some of your higher damage might also be an overpower crit, 3% chance to overpower.
Wdym conditional. Which conditions we need to supply then ? Doing crit all the time, if I’m lucky I’m doing 1.5m-2m at the start and one shot elite
I’m playing melee and stacked only core skill damage, crit damage and vulnerable damage. Others are at 100% etc and additive which is nothing.
Look at your stat sheet? Test? How could I possibly know what your damage’s conditions are based on zero information?
The vast majority of damage bonuses in the game are conditional.

One does his damage with Grizzly Rage which will get a huge nerf, other is Barb and my main now and it does 100K and 2M damage. Problem is, I watched some necro video, they do damage always on the same range. Like 1.5m-2m
Pretty sure its because vulnerable runs out. I do literally no damage when i dont apply vulnerable. Lvl 100 Barb here.
My hota crits range from 2m to 36m … on vuln targets.
I have only ever seen the 36m when fighting mob groups.
On uber lilith for example, I can rarely crit for up to 13m, while on the eggs I can crit for up to 16m.
I think sometimes affixes simply don’t apply (plus there is the hota quaking aspect thing).
My ww crits on vuln targets range from 700k to 2.6m within the same cast. Yes, there is the 30% increase after 2s, but there is a whole world between 700k and 2.6m.
I remember I had one time, where I most certainly had a whole pack vulnerable, and I was hitting like a wet noodle. I reapplied vulnerable via steel grasp and suddenly the damage numbers were back to normal. That was on ww.
With hota I am almost certain that close dmg affix bugs out every now and then.
Lot’s of weird stuff going on, which is almost no wonder with so many conditional stats. There is bound to be a lot of bugs in there.
Or who knows, maybe everything is working as intended and we just have so many conditions that sometimes are met and sometimes are not met culminating in such vast differences, but I would bet on things not really working as intended.
Your Attackpower changes because when u relog, your Character hold 1hand weapons in his hands.
Welcome master Barb. I’ve Exploit glyph, you know the ticks. 1 tick without shouts apply vulnerable to enemies and it last 3 seconds. Let’s say I tick 2 WW every second. In 3 seconds, 100k 120k 2m 1m 800k 1m damage example. I spent like 1 hour to test it on bugged monster near to Komdor Temple in Kejhistan
@page Thank god, there is a people like me. It’s OK while doing normal content but now I’m pushing T79+ NM Dungeons. It’s like waiting for the lucky hits
sometimes when u start your whirlwind some aspects dont increase your damage to the fullest because some conditions arent met, for example u didnt have the Aspect for (each point of fury generated at max…) at the cap.
id like to see a video then i can see something and not read.
im lvl 100 barb and noticed they are changing the base stats on an daily/hourly basis. It seems like a beta test cmon!! and i have to spend money/time to change skills, glifs/ aspects.
