First i went in with my (I admit, quite squishy) spiritborn on T4, and got killed few times in the row, without getting any significant damage in.
Then I went and did Varshan, Grigoire, Zir and even Beast in the Ice just fine. I do know these fights better, but those (AFAICT) have just one or two attacks which are really going to kill you, and there’s plenty of time to react. Varshan’ s new wave is fine, pattern attack is run around mini game. Grigoire is arguably quite easy, just position yourself well. Even Beats’s frost winds are relatively easy to play around, the telegraphing has improved a lot!
But the Urivar’s fight is quite different. All the attacks, except the auto-attack, seem to deal quite a lot of damage (my other tanky character with some DR and 20k life + 20k fortify) can barely tank anything. And not only the dot ground, falling swords (which follow you, so dodge rolling is a bad idea) and criss-cross swords are all lethal, it seems that the attack frequency is quite high on top of that. There’s barely time to attack back (at least at melee range). Also sometimes the falling swords come right after dot ground attack, so there’s really no space to run away either.
To summarise, Urivar doesnt feel in balance with other minor lair boss fights. The “only-oneshots” fight feels cheap. If I have low DPS i’d rather run out of potions and die, then die without even having time to drink any. Or I’d just dont fight Urivar until I can oneshot him, which is lame as well.
