Question for those in the know:
-
Does item level (inherent damage on weapon and off hand) affect damage of Ball Lightning?
-
Does item level (inherent damage on weapon and off hand) affect damage of Blizzard Ice Spikes?
My understanding is that it does for #1 but not #2, is this correct?
Higher item level means higher damage spikes. If you compare 925 to 625, there’s significant difference in spikes damage

Correct. Spikes would be considered “flat dmg” (like thorns) while skills like BL will scale off weapon dmg. Source: Maxroll’s dmg for beginners.
1.Yes 2.No
Blizzard Ice Spikes scale off the aspect treat it as an additional skill you add to Blizzard. That skill can only become stronger by a better aspect or paragon or the new Ring.
Ball Light scales off weapon damage.
PS.
I’ve been around. Completed everything with Blizzard and Balls. The game is dead easy.
Still hunting some uber drops. But yeah, this season is just “candy rain” + make everything dead boring to please the casual audience.

Melt him first with Balls

Throw on disobideance. Iceblock Armor. Poison Elixir. Vyr aspect and Vyr passive. Have Hp rolls on helm/top/pants/ring/ring. Damage reduction affixs. Dodge poison.
Should be good after that

Thanks for the info everyone.
@Rawhead, Sorc has the advantage of removing poison very easily. Basically all the defensive cool downs remove the poison. So you want to hold some back and time the casts. Get poisoned, remove poison immediately.
The other easy way is to play with tank class and then cast spells from behind instead of taking the charge/stun head on.

At first I got hit by a few of those poison balls from the adds in the beginning. They hit really hard. I think I may have been hit by the charge and that was the problem.
So what you should time is time your cool downs correctly.
Use one to get concieted damage buff. But don’t spam all at once. Hold 1/2 back at any time both to debuff poison and also to get out of stun lock.
Personally I’d save teleport to get out of stun lock and teleport behind boss to continue the fight.
Don’t forget you can also evade through the boss when charge winds up if you want to get fancy.
Greyghost has best approach though, just get strong enough to melt first and not worry about any of that.

Yeah I made the mistake of throwing up fire and ice shield at same time. Now to farm more mats for another go
Or just ask in trade chat if anyone wants to join. Boom.
