Kinda embarrassing to ask but how can I start season 2?
PS5 version here, game updated (1.2.0.46321), just don’t know where to buy battle pass.
I recall in season 1 I had to go in game and press touch pad on controller, then press L1 to go to a tab/page called “season” (next to “map”).
But now I don’t see the “season” tab. Did I look at the wrong place?

No as I didn’t buy season pass so I cannot create a season character 
That’s not how it works.
You can create a seasonal character and play the season without buying a battlepass at all.
Do people really think you have to buy the battlepass to play the season.?
Anyways, after you have completed character creation you can choose seasonal or eternal. Choose seasonal, easy as that. You don’t have to but the battlepass if you dont want to.
You dont need to buy pass to play season, battle pass is not must its just option if u want more cosmetics
