Solutions for Sorcerers in S5

Alright Sorcs, we’ve seen enough negativity here for S5, so I’m going to pose up a solution. But for this to work, we’re going to have to be a bit imaginitive.

So first we line up the new season, choose Necromancer as your class. Name it “Sorc.”

Now here is where the imagination comes in.

Pretend your minions are conjuration spells that you don’t have to recast and don’t have restrictive cooldowns on them. And they will draw enemy attacks away from you as well.

If you like Blizzard, use Blight instead. It has a wider radius and deals more damage.
If you like Arc Lash, use Sever instead. It has a wider radius and deals more damage.
If you like Frozen Orb, Fireball or Ice Shards, use Bone Spear. It basically does what those spells do all in one.
If you like Firewall, why? Use Blight.
And most of all, don’t forget to use your imagination
You’re not a Necromancer, you’re a vastly superior Sorcerer that is more viable.

I told everyone sorc was going to pay dearly for making an invulnerable build and this is it. Got completely destroyed. Even teleport and ice armor got hit. Apparently focus dont have CD on them anymore as inherant. Tons of caps put in place. Chain lightning enchant has 4 second CD so its useless now. The design for this new chain lightning pants is absolutely horrible. Go back to the drawing board on that one.

Lightning spear skill and vyr mastery are cool though. Maybe we missed something with some meat on it but it looks like to me sorc is bad bad bad.

They have “Lucky Hit” instead. From what I can see, no weapon or armour has CDR as an inherent.

We already did this in Season 1. We were all pretending we were Sorcs throwing Bone Spears and blood Surges back in Season 1.

Don’t feel like doing it again in Season 5.

Sorc is not the only invulnerable build out there, in fact every class except druid have something. go search the video Diablo 4 - How To Become INVINCIBLE by Wudijo

NEcro one was hit too. Did they do anything with barb just having 500k life?

Where is info that we get more tempers per GA now?

I can’t find it in the patch notes but they apparently said it in the campfire chat, if all the youtubers reviewing this are to be believed.

I need it in patch notes to be able to gloat to all the ppl that said git gud tempering is fine.

Can u help me out and find in the chat where it is so I can find it. Thanks alot!

Im at work and cant open vids.

You don’t ask much, do you?

I can’t link the vid, but look up fireside chat season 5 and you’ll find it on Youtube.

At roughly 1:17 they mention extra tempering rolls per greater affix on equipment.

And they also said that items locked in season 4 gained more seasoning in the eternal realms. So item 3 GA will still have 3 releases.

Non necro player detected

I played one once back when minions didn’t do any damage at all and Necro was a Sorc with blood and bone spells. Haven’t touched them since so it’s a fair criticism.

If the notes remain the same, keep avoiding them. I love the necro class but not how it is now - or how it will be (F tier) in S5.

I’m going back to Rogue next season. I don’t find Rogues as much fun but they are far and away more solid in the end game.

I am thinking I am just going to pass on season 5 like I did 3 at the point. Blizzard being brain dead again as usual.

Well since the Devs have so graciously allowed Sorcs to use MACES…

I’ll be making an Overpower Incinerate build.
Pit 200 here I come!!1! :fire: :upside_down_face:

Lol honestly weither we like it or not, the extra aspect that barbarian gets makes a big difference

I’d love to have sorcs with 2x +100% aspects =o

Actually, that’s one way they could make people use staves. Sorcs should be able to equip two staves, a one-hand and a focus, and then choose which spells get cast with which weapon. It certainly would be a step in the right direction.
Graphically, when not in town, make the Sorc carry the wand/dagger and have the staves orbiting around them for a really powerful Sorc look!

They gonna nerf Incinerate unoverpowerable, too!

I love this idea. And Skeletal Mage can cast Blizzard, too.
