I feel that way too when perceiving this issue affects a very small community portion but has a substantive volume of commentary from not a substantive volume of people. Enough to trigger the topic heat algorithms…

I have explained the best I could. Guess there is no convincing you to see my side of this on how we were all turned into “leechers” and how this solution was worse than the problem.

Regardless about wether or not you care about leeching the new system is still better then the current one for the fact that you don’t have to pay to fights bosses you can just simply fight bosses when ever you want

I’m happy we’ll be needing fewer material types.
I’m neutral about everyone having to pay their own way, I play solo anyway.
I’m unhappy about the drop changes. Only 1 guaranteed drop from the specific boss’s pool, we’ll need to spend so much more time to get build-enabling uniques.
That last point will probably make me quit in disgust earlier in the season than usual.

Honestly it could go either way. People generally look for the path of least resistance. It does slow the gearing down slightly. But knowing blizzard they will swerve in the other direction next season.
Some people thought this was unfair, dare I say mostly solo players, because of the efficiency of it all. If you go in with 4 people, and summon a boss, 3 people essentially get free loot. So this would make solo players feel as if they were missing out and wasting their time going solo, when they could just as easily join a rota group and stretch their mats out so to speak.

I only play with friends and we never leech anything so I don´t care about this change.
Make friends, make goods friends to play and just block crap people.
Old way, 2 eggs, 2 shards.
4 people go to summon the boss for a Boss rotation.
Person ( A ) Summons
Person ( B ) Leach
Person ( C ) Leach
Person ( D ) Leach

We get to Person D to summon, but he decided “hey, I just got 3 free rounds of leaching, now that’s it’s my turn I’m leaving”. P00F He Disconnects when it’s his turn to summon.
How is that fair to person A, B, C? The point of the “boss Rotation” is for everybody to contribute, that way everybody has MORE Chances to get get Mythic Uniques. After all 4 people summoning is more then 3 people summoning in a 4 MAN GROUP.
Season 8 will stop that. You can kill the boss all you want but if you don’t have your own personal “KEY” to open a chest, then you “SOOL”. Go farm the mats/keys to open the chest.
If you want to help (which is fine) Help them get the keys so they can open their own personal Boss chest.
There is no Leaching on season 8, like there was/has been from season 1 through 7.

It looks like there’s a minor buff so groups still come out ahead of solo. With a full party you get an additional item from the boss’s item pool whereas solo players only get the one. Chin up. It’ll be okay.

No it doesnt stop this. It enforces it. Nobody is getting it. Your scenario is what happens every single time now. Before you got loot from other summons and now you dont. You only get loot for the ones you pay for with ur mats. All the mats from others do nothing. Its as if u summonsed first then entire party left after.
1 summon sets before = 4 total summon sets for party minus leechers
1 summon sets now = 1 total summon for you
For 1 summon set before = 1 total summon set for party would require 3 leechers or every single person but you. This is the new system. Great solution! 
it’s just an excuse to implement their calculated-maximized player base engagement retention plan.
first, a sudden jump into the team means those are friends and allowable. if it’s not allowed to intervene, then the team can just say it.
second, the whole issue can be solved by turning on a existing option in game setting to block sudden join-ins and let the other player to ask first.
instead, the devs treat everyone like an idiot and exploit this minor complaint.

To be honest and Fair, I never thought it was a problem either. But if the dev’s say it is because the devs say people have complained about it, then I’m glad they are taking care of it.
People tend to forget that the world/status of Diablo 4 isn’t based upon peoples thoughts/opinions on it’s own forum, especially when the Dev’s have More Insight/Info about the state of the game then anyone of us ever will.
So thats why when people say, " I don’t see why " or " This doesn’t make sense because…" "My Logic says "… is utterly worthless.

Yes… So nobody can leach of of 1 another (it 100%) kills the potential of a person leaving with out contributing.
Why would anybody be doing boss runs if they don’t have the keys to open the chest in the 1st place? ? ? (Unless of course you want to test to see if you can beat it first).

Nope this is the new way as well.
Before 1 summon set = 4 chances of loot minus leechers
Now 1 summon set = 1 chance of loot (so its like you had 3 leechers everytime)
Your scenario with 3 leechers:
This is 1 summon set = 1 chance of loot. Exactly how it works now. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You are person A every single time. This is the new boss loot 101 class. Hope you just graduated as your example is perfect.

You know what, forget it.
let’s just wait for tomorrow’s PTR (I think it’s tomorrow) and for season 8 to be released.
People can cry with tears to the wind over the change… But it’s not gonna change the state of the game (cause even though some people don’t like this change, you have those who DO).
And for the Dev’s to change it to season 8 Boss summoning situation and Others Supporting this idea, well in the end, I guess I have nothing to worry about.
