So… I have unlocked all the renown but it was done early on in the pre-season. Unfortunately the character that completed all the renown is dead and cannot be logged onto…
So Blizzard? Why not just base it off of where the account level unlocks are at not the actual renown…
So Blizzard why do you intend to %&$* me and other HC players over…
if you start a new HC character right now, don’t you have all your reknown unlocked?
The account wide stuff sure but nothing else (fog of war, lilith statues etc.) The dev update specifically says they will transfer specific character states over…they want you to log onto a character that is the fuethest along before the season starts to transfer over the specifics
Yeah this is f*****g stupid. Maybe we should also have to restart the campaign too because the first character that did it, is most likely dead at this point in the game.
I don’t mind the altars… But doing all 5 renown levels and every dungeon? F***** hell, not sure I want to play Season 1…

Blizzard and the game is unforgiving and actually masochistic
You can skip campaign regardless if the character you did it with is dead. It is an option when you select HC or you can just click skip campaign if you forgot to hit check box. In fact you could have done the campaign on SC and still skip it on HC. I did it on both for achievements.
As far as alters you only have to do them once. Unfortunately if you die the ones you have already collected don’t show up so best to complete a zone before you move on just in case. Well once on SC and once on HC.
Renown sadly isn’t alt friendly. Again if you die you do start over but you don’t lose whatever your previously collected. If you notice you will see a check box and start out with skills. You have to earn the top again but not bottom rewards. It is the same on SC. It is one of the many reasons people don’t like the system.
Dont have to even come close to doing all dungeons for max renown
