Fought 2 bosses yesterday 50 times, in T3 and T4, got Belial to show up only once to get his mats to do the big Belial fight.
Seriously? What is the point of this bs? To annoy your userbase? Also, the two bosses i fought (Andariel in T3 and Zir in T4) didn’t drop anything worth a damn.
The insane nerf to loot in this game is just ridiculous.
Belials loottable is litterally the loottable of the boss you chose in the modifier?
Same experience for me. Did around 50 Andy and 50 Duriel, plus many lesser Bosses last week-end (all in T3). Just crap dropping, not even the basic 1 GA Uniques my build needed. Did a couple of T3 Belial and understood where the Ancestrals were.
It is the the loot table of the boss you choose but beating Belial guarantees that at least 1 drop is a 1 GA or better.
Yeah that was the brilliant plan they mentioned in campfire chat. We should be using the boss ladder to get a 750 version of our uniques and then farming belial for the ancestrals.

Duriel’s drops are really bad this season. The best I’ve gotten from him is a rare rune. Literally nothing else.
All my mythics have come from Belial. One from baby Belial, and the other 4 from a chest picked after beating Belial.
I think they nerfed ancestral unique drops from bosses big time (and runes). My belief is that this was intentional. One player in my group last night DID get a mythic from Duriel though. So maybe its just bad RNG but I do tend to think the best stuff is hidden behind Belial, which is fine by me because fighting Andy is a PITA, Duriel is annoying (drop his phases to 2, ok, lets meet in the middle), but I actually like the Harbinger fight.
I DO think the lesser bosses drop rate should be increased slightly. The progression should be lesser bosses get you to the uber bosses. Just my opinion. I think a little better drops from those bosses would help a player progress better to Duriel/Andy/Harbinger/Belial.
I am not even chasing Mythics yet, just build defining Ancestrals for my Ice Shard Sorc to work. Only managed to get the Helm.
Having a larger pool of items for the Bosses is however a positive change.
I’m not telling you to do this because the choice is up to you and you may feel differently about trading and dupers.
Your problem will be solved if you trade for Belial mats instead of doing it the atrocious legit way. Am I telling you to RMT? No, because there are plenty of ways to make gold in the game and you can afford stuff without spending real money but you will support RMT/Duping indirectly by trading with them, but you won’t ever need to complain about the belial boss problem on forum and depending on how you look at the game, it may even let you enjoy the game again.
Belial mats are heavily duped and sold on trade sites and each mat is only like 9m gold right now. It may seem like a lot, but rune drops alone from Belial will pay it all back, not to mention, any good uniques that you may find along the way. Yes, it means you have to trade on shady trading site and yes, you will most likely trade with a lvl 1 character that you know didn’t farm the mat the legit way.
Once you get this going, obtaining mystic won’t be a problem anymore. You will soon be looking for 2-4GA versions of them. You will have more spectral ash than you know what to do with and Belial is solo friendly, no immune phase. You just need to be strong enough to kill it yourself. You don’t farm Belial in a group unless you need a carry. The other will slow you down since only one person can open the box at a time. Plus, belial is the only boss where grouping won’t provide any bonus loot.
Have you gotten Tal’s, FOF, and Azurewrath yet in Ancestral form?
If not, the best advice I can give is get into a Belial group and switch between picking the ice beast and Urivar chest. Its how I got mine. Varshan will drop a decent ring but it takes a bunch of times. Urivar’s chest for us (ice shards) is really good.
I had a FOF from the first character I played. The Tal’s ring was in the latest caches from the season reputation. Unfortunately, both have low rolls but I least I can already make the build work.
I will follow your advice. I believe I have still mats for a couple Belial runs.
Exactly. Then, on eternal, we gonna bug him out TWICE so you dont get anything lmfao.
Repeatable quest drops even better loot, but not sure it’s the best place to look for mythics, also you can’t target farm it so you that you get.
Oddly my GA drops this season have come from other drops outside of there respective boss loot pools.
They really screwed up loot this season.
I actually forgot to mention some of the best stuff I have gotten this season is from the obols vendor. Lol. Not ancestral uniques, but ancestral legendaries they are good for. Got my boots, pants, and a ring from that guy.
Obols vendors are great this season. Not over tuned as they were at some not point, not useless as last season. I got most of my first set of Ancestral Legendaries for them.
I can see what I have in my inventory if you want. I may have an extra GA tal ring and GA azurewrath. Im at work so I cant check right this minute

If you are fighting something on the highest tier of the game the odds that it is going to drop anything you consider “worth a damn” are very, very, very, very, very low.
Why this is shocking to all of you collectively blows me mind. But here we are.
No Mythics from Belial but only done maybe 20 - 30 due to lack of Boss mat drops.
No Mythics in the last 200ish runs (lots of Andariel’s 'cause they’re faster) anywhere including 5+ Under City Tributes for that matter. Colour me POed.
As for obols, it really seems to depend what you are looking for. Lots of drops for slots better filled by Uniques like boots and helms but try fishing for a two-hander and lots of luck with that.
Thanks. I appreciate the offer. Despite some of my comments here is the forum, I usually have patience when it comes to loot. As long as I don’t feel that my character completely stuck in terms of progression, I don’t mind the grind.
Today I tried to progress in the last chapter of the seasonal quest, doing the Bosses with their own Borrowed powers and Duriel gave me a 2GA Azurewrath from a single run. Still have to do Andariel, Lilith and Belial but I am lacking a bit of survivability for the fights.
…OK, if you have a good roll on you Tal’s ring, I could be interested.
I think part of the issue is it’s only a 2 months season which means every week that passes by you feel the tension. “Oh no! My this or that hasn’t dropped yet! I only have a few weeks left!” begins sweating profusely It doesn’t feel like mythic crafting involving finding the 6 legendary runes is very possible in 8 weeks.
