So, what happened to getting pale marks?

So now that I can finally play again thanks to the latest patch fixing some of the more widespread crashes/hangs, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t matter what I do, I’m not getting any pale marks at all outside of those obtained by the infinite repeating rapport cache. Legion events aren’t giving any. Regular events aren’t giving any. World boss isn’t giving any. Nothing. It was bad enough that we were only getting 5-6 marks per event before, but now we aren’t even getting any at all.

Are you drinking those elixirs from the seasonal event? if not, you’re not going to get that rep.

Pale marks are not tied to rep. They’re supposed to drop while doing events with your mercenary as they aren’t a seasonal aspect. The pale mark reward caches are tied to rapport, but again, not tied to seasonal opals.

I’ve gotten so many pale marks… just by playing the game in general. It’s Definitely a grindy experience. Doing I H really helps or hell tides. You just have to keep playing/grinding.

Do you know where to go to collect your pale marks?

They do not “drop” you get them when your merc’s gain experience it is a grind.
After your merc’s reach level 10 you will still receive the marks.

  1. The merc’s have a blue xp bar when it if full :point_down:
  2. Click on the merc tab (in the same section with your skill tab).
  3. Click on the merc you want to see.
  4. Click on box across from the merc’s face.

Yes, they do drop. Primarily from event chests. Or they used to. It’d only be a handful at a time but yes, they are supposed to drop.

Earning Rapport

Trust is most swiftly earned in the blood-strewn throes of battle. This trust with Mercenaries is known as Rapport. Rapport is what you’ll use to upgrade each Mercenary, earning skill points to unlock more of their abilities, caches, and increasing your ability to barter.

Earn Rapport with different Mercenaries by using them as Reinforcements or Hired hands in battle. Mercenary-related events will appear through Sanctuary to earn bonus Rapport with your loyal companion. Each Mercenary has 10 Levels of Rapport to earn, and repeating the last level will earn you additional Pale Marks. :point_left:

These potent Coins are earned through Rapport, granting you the ability to purchase coveted items within The Den.

The do drop from events that star one of the mercs, where the merc is the event npc… like the chest altar thing that the demon kid wants to open.

They were previously dropping from event chests too Avalon. It’s a little hard to miss the purple “6 Pale Marks” on the ground after a legion event.
