Stupidborn thorns (rocksplitter or quill volley like every other sb build)
Sorc hail hydra

Seems like only necro has some choices but everyone else has one or none, sorc probably has the best non meta builds but barb got gutted, so did rogue, and druid had nowhere to fall from, a real druid build hasnt existed since s3 with wolf nado

They lowered hp scaling so probably every class will be okay in T4. Just play the class what you like the most, if you dont want to play meta builds.

It’s criminal that they can waste two hours talking and not tell us something as important as how monster health scaling will change.

We know it will change from the addendum in the patch notes, but we also know most every upper end builds saw massive nerfs. My guess is T4, for most (maybe not all) builds will be easier, simply because they can’t decide on how hard to make T4 and it’s the “easier” side’s turn to come up.

If the reputation is still easy to grind, and Obols still payout well, and if they did increase the quality of drops in the upper torments (Season of ‘IF’) then we could be looking at S7 all over again once you can reliably farm the upper torment levels.

I would seek a build that can get to the point of farming T3 bosses the fastest. Once you can reliably farm T3 bosses you have the power to play everything but the bosses (and maybe new NMD escalations) on T4.

Whenever a game backloads the power curve (in this case through item quality), we see the behavior of D3; a struggle early but then a rapid escalation in power once you hit a few key breakpoints.

What about Cataclysm druid? or that Rockslide build? Those were fun.

Anyway, you never know what build is gonna be relevant this season, on another note, maybe make your own build?

It’ll be even easier as Elites and bosses will now give reputation. So regardless of what you’re doing in the game, you’ll be gaining rep.

Got to give props to iggi on the damage control when the forums are on fire :fire: always helpful even if my past posts say otherwise…myself i will be waiting for the exspansion just not enough content in seasons for me…maybe we might get a new class and new builds by then…

I’m sure it’ll be hype for sure, THOUGH I will say before buying it (or anything), doing research first just to avoid buyers regret may be the way to go.

Druid is not dead at all. Luckily they have other ways to fall on to scale damage. Barb and Necro blood builds are in a pickle though. There was no compensation for them.

Agree, especially with the last change to the new Unique they are really trying to make that a “thing”. Companions ran pretty well on PTR even before they fixed Alpha.

Although I will be on Rogue and SB this season, plus whatever wins in my thread for bad build to play.

Looking at the Maxroll & Rob0815 S9 Tier List i will choose Bloodwave Necro… after reading this sentence over and over at every SpBeerItBorn build :beer::

“Unfortunately, this build’s great power comes at the cost of defenses since all of these slots are occupied with mandatory unique items.”

And like always there are only a handful of non top tier "fun"builds that use a mythic weapon (which i like). So hooray for mythics? No? nononono? :cold_sweat:

I was all set to play SB until I saw that. I don’t like Necro or Druid so someone give a brother another option that doesn’t contain the word Hydra that works.

Hmmm… would be nice if the defenses of the SB would be like the ones of the deathtrap rogue. Surviving everything with 0 armor and resistances :see_no_evil:

I dont have a problem playing glasscanons but when i die to a squirrel fart i begin to cry.

I looked at tier list and one question. Why did they buff Spiritborn even more with this Balazan thing?

Glass cannons are frustrating to play.

Especially if you play mostly on HC. Also there’s an alarming trend towards needing more and more Mythics and Uniques just to make a build function. “Function”, not excel.

None of the classes are dead. Maybe you just were bad and relied on broken builds before.
