So Vulnerable/ Bone spear was overpowered but this is ok?

Yes. They said MH would be overpowered. That is why it is seasonal. There will be some OP builds. They made it clear from the beginning. Imagine without the nerfs what this would be doing.

Relax

Not calling for any nerfs on anything, but again this season is showing they didnt test anything…

why is this ok for seasons? Then vulnerable is ok too if you add new items that make us stronger balance it with stronger mobs not nerf everything to the ground

You are missing the forest due to the tree’s.

There was no place to go if damage was already Tier 100. Reduce damage back down to Tier 70 for example, gives 30 levels to grow based on new content, updated skills, new gear, etc.

Nerf was across the board. Seasonal/Eternal. This druid build will last for 3 months and cease to exist. The damage nerf will still be there. Seasons are always about new power. Temporary power though, not permanent.

So they should either fix everything that is overpowered at the same time or fix nothing at all?

I think you are missing the point. In all seasons they will introduce something that is absolutely not well thought through…totally overpowered, game braking the very reasons they did nerf across the board. So why do you nerf if you reintroduce the same broken mechanics but renaming it from vulnerable to malignant hearts?

Because there would be some insane power creep if you didn’t nerf stuff when you reintroduce new powerful things.

Bone Spear was almost one shotting Uber Lilith…

This is OP, yes, but its still nowhere near Bone Spirit OP (btw, Bone Spirit is STILL OP)

Vuln sucks… i had more fun without it. Needing to change skills simply because 1 is clearly more powerful than the rest sucks. Nerfing skills just because they actually do damage is a really salty move. Unaffordable respec costs out of spite sucks, totally unacceptable vendor prices sucks, end game bosses appearing before level 10 sucks, lazy item appearances in inventory sucks, having female armour only drop for a male character sucks, requiring to switch to melee as ranged sucks, getting horse in late game sucks. Good job on the campaign though. I really enjoy that.

as it now with hearts

Do you know what’s even more powerful than the hearts? The hearts + the unnerfed vuln.

sure so the game should be balanced but not reintroducing the same thing with new name. I dint agree with vulnerable mechanic at all because there is no build diversity. With such heart mechanics the same will happen again

The nerfs to some thigns are ok, but most of the nerfs that came with patch 1.1 were really bad

Armor wasnt OP, damage reduction wasnt OP, etc

And in the cases of things that did needed to be addressed (like HotA Bug, Shred, Bone Spear and Vulnerable) nerfing without giving viable alternatives is even worse than not nerfing them

perfect summary that is my point!!

tier 23/10 why are we pretending this is happening at high levels

I don’t disagree, I thought the patch was completely misguided, they targeted the wrong things. I’m just saying that the reason you nerf stuff when you introduce new stuff that makes the characters even stronger is to prevent power creep. But it totally screws over those on the eternal realm as they only catch the nerfs without getting the benefits.

absolutely agree with this point too

Honestly, outside of fixing downright bugged or broken mechanics I’m not much in favor of nerfs. I’m more for buffing worse builds to get them in line with the better builds instead, or maybe tuning the encounters instead, but I suppose that takes more work.

This existed even before S1, it’s a combination of 2 things - unfixed bug and new feature that empowers an old exploit, even if some more/generic nerfs were included this is still buffed/broken due to the fact original exploit wasn’t dealt with

I’d expect it to get dealt with sooner rather than later tbh
