now its hard to get good affix like: crit chance / total armor / cooldown reduction / resource reduction
its usually very easy
now its all affix will appear equal and no priority, ITS TOTALY RANDOM NOW with 1/30 to 1/40 to get something u want
like WTF this patch

Yup an item that cost 4m per roll before update now cost 11.6m. i didnt knew that 3x more expensive = cheaper…

This is a monkey’s paw solution. People were complaining about always having the same stat choices while using the occultist so they took away the favored stats. Problem solved?

After the patch rolling Dexterity on a sword is like grinding for a doombringer.

The root of the problem is there are just way too many possible affixes, majority of them are redundant and/or useless to the player. I have been playing this game since launch and I encountered an affix while enchanting this morning that I didn’t even know existed, and it of course was useless to my build. And of course we know why they all exist, it’s to make finding a good piece of gear damn near impossible so you have to spend more time grinding in hopes of finding something remotely close to what you were hoping for. Finding a piece with 3 out of 4 affixes you want is like Christmas morning, and actually getting a 4th you want from the occultist is like winning state lottery.

Not sure if it’s management, QA, or the devs themselves, but this bunch is terrible. Just the wrong move at every single turn.
Destroying some builds and overpowering others. The trash enchanting system, and the occultist in general is just a poorly thought out gold sink. Boring play. Lazy level scaling. Lackluster campaign and story. Can’t even give characters a skill point for every level because the skill trees are miniature PoE tree style ripoffs. Quarter level paragon points.
It almost feels like the team is split on the direction of the game. Is there something behind the scenes we’re missing? I would really love for Diablo 4 to at least be enjoyable, if not great. As it stands the game is a heaping pile of trash, running on an old engine in an isolated “open world”.

yeah that’s not true. maybe for cookie cutter guide builds, but there are builds if not entire classes that don’t want any of those 4 at all.
there are solutions to this crap system but there’s no point proposing anything, game devs never really take advice, just their own ideas or what management says.

Everything makes sense the moment you realize every decision in this game is made to meet metrics. In this case, time engagement metrics.
Yet another undocumented nerf.
I have lost all faith in blizzard at this point. They already made their money, they do not care at all what we think or how we feel about the game / changes made. Time for some BG3 it seems.
Maybe enough backlash will lead to this. We can hope.
Blizzard now haz all our irl moneys and the occultist take all our ingame moneyz.

This is a really good change though. Extremely annoying that you always got the same affixes.
Every patch seems to break more than it fixes, or at the least the things it breaks are broken even worse than the things that got fixed.
I swear the best version of this game we’ve seen so far, was 1.0. Unless you count the betas, but I’m trying to be fair here.
Of course it was, they had a game to sell.
