TBH … WTF…
Barb is alredy miles away from every class and in the patch notes i only see him buffed more …
One might argue the buffs are not endgame but levelling …
But one thing is to notice from the canpfire chat is
They acknowledge charge being too strong …
BUT WHAT ABOUT HOTA !!!
they nerfed the ball light to the ground (i know it was overpowered due to a bug but just the bug fix would be alright … but no they had to nerf it even more)
And hota was literally untouched …
And now again naybe charge will be nerfed but who cares about that … there is not a single line in the campfire about HOTA
just because rod f…. Ferguson plays barb i guess
P.s same shiit with sorc blizzard is alredy the best sorc skill although not even close to hota but they buff stalagmite when there are tons of other underperforming skills (dont call incinerate bcos that has a problem with the skill type itself … no matter how much u buff in other d2 mods noone played inferno or arctic blast in d2 mods … )

Season is winding down boss, it’s ok.

Because it’s fun (?)
Nobody wants another 1.1.1 patch, much less in the middle of the season

It got 10% increased damage in the patch notes though
!
Yes to Incinerate.
It doesn’t scale with APS(tick rate), cannot crit, crit damage useless etc.
It CAN be used but is extremely clunky and far from ‘efficient’. More of a fun, side build for giggles or a challenge(players have cleared AoZ with it, killed Ubers etc sure).
Is what it is kind of thing.
My prediction is Light Storm Druid gets hit about 3-5x harder than Hota.
By that I mean Hota is barely touched and Light Storm Druid is put on the shelf with BL Sorc.
Yep, we’ll buff Barb in S4 more.

Sounds good to me, bring back ball lightning sorcerer, and add a new class build a “little” above the rest.
I would have never played a ball light sorcerer but for last seasons fun build
Here is another, Sorcs are the most entitled whiners

Are you new here? They pick 2 builds a season to reign supreme. This season barb and druid from what I’ve gathered having avoided playing the season of the little buddy at all.
The buffs really only apply to early leveling builds. They are mainly to basic skills. The highest DPS end game builds don’t use basic skills so it’s not really a buff. Whirlwind got a minor buff but unless it’s part.of the WW hota build it’s still going to underperform by itself.
Just because you see numbers increasing in patch notes doesn’t make them meaningful.

Can everyone stop the “HoTa is too strong” crap. HoTa isn’t strong without a very specific gear set… Try running HoTa without Banished Lords and red ring and grandfather… U hit just like everyone else, arguably worse really cuz it’s slow… It’s not a broken build, it doesn’t do too much damage, it’s doing intended damage with the proper gear

After watching the live stream it seems like they could have nerfed charge some and it still would have been far and above the other builds in the game. Seems silly to have left it alone but whatever

You can clearly tell from the campfire stream HOTA is fine. Just look at the barbarian gauntlet run. You don’t see 20 mil orange numbers at all.
I don’t use the Red Ring, the Banished Lord’s, nor do I have a Grandfather. My Barb even has worse gear than my Necro, and yet it’s leagues apart in power, speed, and survivability. Out of curiosity, what other classes do you play to make that claim?

how is it nerfed into the ground? its still pretty nicely playable and viable.
also, youll for sure be able to clear the current content, no matter what class you play.

There are a couple other sorce build that will be beter for gauntlet. Im looking forward to tweaking it with some of the new aspects
It’s a good decision not to nerf during a season unless it’s a massive bug.
When people farm half a season’s worth of items for a build that’s strong and then gets nerfed, it’s very frustrating and doesn’t feel fair.
Big balance changes need to happen at the beginning of a new season. Ideally, test them in a PTR beforehand. This step is being taken in S4, which is a good thing.

You’re wrong there. That barb was not fine, it kinda sucked. If you’re a barb and performing like that on Tuesday I doubt you’re getting worthy.
I feel like people think nerf = make something unplayable.
You can nerf something and it can still be the best.
Are you suggesting barbarians should be doing 20 million damage every hit just to be on the leaderboard?
No. I’m suggesting he was a bit slow. The elites only have 1.5 million health so 20 million is way over kill. That being said my barb often hits for 200 million.
