basically everyone playing the same build.
This is exactly how every expansion will be I guess? Yikes.
This is the opposite of fun lol

Not really true. Huge amounts are playing SB, yes, but the same build? No.
You’ll see a lot of quills out there, but many of us moved on because we didn’t get a free week to test this class like the streamers did so experimentation time is now, given you have the necessary requisites to do so.
WRONG not everyone is playing the same build nor is everyone playing SB! This expansion has been a blast I’m on my 3rd character and soon to be a 4th and I’m loving every second of it. BEST $100 I’ve spent so far!
Season’s gonna die soon. Good job Blizzard.
You sure seem like a non blizzard employee.
isnt this pay to win, but with extra steps so they can get around the “it isnt pay to win” ???
buy spiritborn or have a crappy season
Average season only really last 2-3 weeks for many ppl.
I think this is the first season I might still be playing after 4 weeks.
I mean people can like it and not work for Blizzard.
Simply paying for it, makes people want to at least try the new thing. So yeah I agree I think most are playing it.
I don’t think their marketing practices are good for the game though.
I also did not buy the expansion as I wanted to see if they would go this route, and I am glad I did not.
Just don’t group with anyone on SB and you will not even notice them. I am not having a crappy season, I kind of like the game harder. The walking simulator with strobelights is really not what I want in a game. Yes they could be fairer to their other customers and not balance around the broken stuff…but whatever…
yeah, because you are still farming crafting material at the first two week and guess what, they just fix it for you and helping you speed up the game…
No joking, their balancing team has an intention to holding player back to make their game stay longer. Just compare the time needed for acquiring mat through infernal compass and the time to acquire iron or cloth in game before “buffing” the drop rate. And a reminder here is that the balancing team was doing this already in s3
Actually mats are a byproduct of playing. They are actually have value because its not unlimited like D3 gold. Still lots of paragon to grind and still need a few DC cosmetics.
If I dont roll what I want it isnt a big deal, just play the game more. Arpgs are a grind that revolves around RNG. play till you feel your done then play something else. You dont need to play D4 the entire season.
yup, you got a point. I may be a bit mad about the balancing team that they try to holding player back instead of giving player more incentives to make the player stay longer. i.e. the forgotten soul before applying hotfix do make me farm for hours to got my gears tempered
I mean all they did was balance rewards. You cant just do pit or IH 24/7. You end up bottlenecking yourself. Now class balance and build balance in general is a joke. It reaks of D3 seasonal flavor of the month.
Im not annoyed SB is op i was expecting it. Its the new shinny thing. Worst thing would have been if it underperformed. Regardless it will get the bugs fixed for S7 so it will be interesting to see where it lands.
Honestly in town, 99% of all players Ive inspected are Quill, resolves stacking, amethyst gems, etc… I cant imagine numbers would show much different. Its odd because any build can work with SB if you have Viscous shield (thing is busted with no investment). Most streamers havent even touched another class at this point, yet Ive done SB, SB, Necro and Druid despite playing less.
same feeling here. Speak of the class, i would rather BLIZZZZ buff the other classes instead of nerfing SB to the ground
Speak for yourself OP, I"m having a Hell ton of fun!
I’m still playing rogue as usual, it’s not face roll so still enjoying it so far.
You are one guy you are not most people. How do you know how many people are still playing if you only stick around for 2-3 weeks each time?
The forums have started to become flooded with threads started by people saying they’re quitting because of the state the game is in.
It’s easy to say you are going to stick around for 4+ weeks then find yourself without anything left to do and be twiddling your thumbs.
The problem Blizzard has created for themselves is when they do the right thing and “fix the bugs” now that they’ve given people a taste of god mode easy 1 shot literally everything…once it’s “fixed” their going to log in and say “this sucks” and quit the game. Because one thing they are not doing right now is creating alts of other classes. It feels too lame by comparison. As will a bug fixed Spiritborn.
Yes, man.
They’ve turned Diablo into a P2W mobile game. It feels like Blizzard may want to reach out the team at Raid Shadow Legends for some advice on balancing new introductions though.
Put your $40 into the machine and rev up the newest class so you can drop the game in a week when you’re bored because there’s no difficulty.
I have about 100 ppl on my friendslist. A very active clan, its an easy guage. Already seen falloff waiting for S7 because they are done. Many dont care to grind to 300 paragon.
Fourms have always been full of melodramatic ppl. Not to mention the ones who dont even play the game anymore but lerk around.
If it wasnt for the paragon grind I likely would be already done or moving on to an ult. The only the really left if the cosmetics from DC.
I also play SB and have already played 5 different builds. All of them feel good to play and are also powerful (powerful = this is Diablo).
Every class should be like that. Build variety and not feeling forced to play one build because all the others are so much worse.
