So POE stole the Spiritborn class

Character says the word spirit and does elemental melee attacks. No animals in sight besides the giant chicken.

I feel like Diablo 4 and PoE constantly copies from each other to make sure either one can’t say we have this type of thing and they don’t.

Have you noticed the similarities between the Harbinger of Death fight and the Count Geonor Act 1 Boss fiight? Giant Demon Wolf dashing at you from different directions etc?

I could see PoE2 having a bunch of classes lined up, but the one most similar to the Spiritborn (Spear wielder) gets fast-tracked to the top of the release list.

And like the other guy said, PoE2 has very good graphics (character models and shop cosmetics not so much tho)… but there are a couple of map tile-sets that look horrible. Like the tomb tile-set; it’s so bad and over-lit like an apple store. I hope it’s just placeholder lol.

well the inspiration for that is certainly not spiritborn, but probably javazone.

And yes the concept of classes in poe is very far from d4, so now it is impossible to understand what this particular class will look like.

Btw spiritborn is nowhere near new class - it’s jsut a monk from d3.

Diablo 4 is getting crushed big time by POE. The amount of content that comes out in their updates is huge.

IMO, the D4 and P2 directions are not related and not copy each other.

But the D4 path that the Devs chose will be more difficult for themselves in terms of balance and lack of flexibility. The characters are too dependent on items, aspects and external add-ons powers without the inherent power of each class (skill tree and paragons). This easily leads to boredom in farming every season.

yes, 100% D4 stand no chance against PoE2.

The problem is no matter how many end game activities they will add to D4 it won’t matter cuz of weak core system taken from D3.

D4 = D3 resurrected, that’s all.
all the main systems were either simply taken from d3, or slightly renamed, painted in a different color, etc. A good arpg cannot be built on these systems, which is why d4 will not be able to compete with poe. No matter how much endgame activities they will add.

It’s better in every way, don’t delude yourself.

Couldn’t care less what Poe does to be honest or any other arpg for that matter.

The “low-info” of this post + that dogged devotion to the brand, speaks for itself… idk that it’s not the bleakest metric Blizzard has (though they probably embrace it).

There’s an IGN video from summer 2023 showcasing a bunch of familiar Huntress features:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKX1aPd6LjQ&t=4m39s

No you must mean… parry mechanics?

No wait… real melee combat?

No wait… 100s of skill modifiers?

No wait… taming beasts?

I’d try to go through a “full” list of all possible things you clearly didn’t mean (bc a twirly motion with a stick = a class apparently) but I haven’t even fully absorbed them yet.

The bit about creating distinct profiles for all possible tamed/Spectre mobs so they wouldn’t behave weirdly in, for example, Hideouts… is a level of forethought it would probably take the D4 team 2 years to stumble onto after it was highlighted for them in multiple PTRs & live builds. And I bet these kiwis - what - probably thought it up as they were planning the implementation? Like a functional development process.

However: twirly sticks, nonlinear time.

while diablo 4’s druid still struggles with those couple of spirit wolves that end up neither playable here nor there for 2 years.

blizzard studio should consider changing its business direction to selling fridge magnets.

I never let myself ‘believe’ in those things, but still a bit sad if they turned out as sucky as it sounds…

However, Blizzard did make a couple of “spirit wolves” that pretty much win at life. You just have to play enhancement shaman to enjoy them. :joy:

fact Microsoft doesn’t give up on it between now and then.

This forum is a treasure trove.
OP, never change.

Imagine if D4 added 100+ uniques in an update. Instead what we get is 1 unique per class.
New class without having to pay an expansion price for it.
Numerous new bosses.

D4’s problem is that the seasons/updates just dont have enough stuff in them.

I don’t think they can afford that again tho. D2 2nd exp was cancelled. D3 was cancelled and was remade from scratch, D3 2nd exp got cancelled, D4 first version got cancelled and remade from scratch.

I’m pretty sure if they don’t drop the don’t fix it and make a new one mentality (such bs always comes from investor board meeting and not from devs), there won’t be D5 at all.

yeah i think blizzard should be embarrassed of themselves, that they cannot even deliver 25% of the content of a free patch from GGG in an expansion.

I just have no words.

See this is the power of playing both games. It’s not an either or. Doesn’t hurt. That being said I’m playing Fatal Fury lmao!

Why should they be embarrassed?

They make their shareholders happy, people still play the most recognizable aRPG (used loosely), forums are going strong with both haters and fans.

They don’t need to deliver the 25% of the content that GGG might put out for free, but recoup their costs on MTX. Yet next expansion or next version Diablo’s profits will be huge…. Yet again.

So while you complain about d4, you’re still here.

If it is so horrible compared to the latest d4 killer….why exactly are you investing time here? Doesn’t poe2 capture you to the point you don’t want to play any other game…. ? Never open the curtains and see sunlight? Only shower on Wednesdays’s…? Never visit any other gaming forum…?

Don’t leave out PoE 2’s better skill/spell design, Honestly a mid-schooler

kkkkk. I didn’t play quilvoley. In season 6, anything you used would pit 130/150. Did you see how many bugs there were??? Solve it was 6 points. 6. With MW x 1.45 it was supposed to give 15 but it gave 21. The issue is that builds that pit 100 with it in season 7 are few.
