PvP deaths in hardcore = deletion of your character.
There is absolutely no reason to participate in PvP in hardcore knowing that you are guaranteed to die after a short time PvPing.
As a player that ONLY plays hardcore, this essentially guarantees there is no PvP in Diablo 4.
This is a mistake. Change this.

I just bumped this thread to say I WAS RIGHT calling this over a month before launch and received nothing but casual babies telling me I was wrong.
CALLED IT. PvP is non-existent in Hardcore and Blizzard dropped the ball here too.

There will 1000% be hardcore PvP. Maybe you won’t be involved, but it’ll happen dude… by a number much larger than you’d think. It makes great content for YouTube and Twitch, and then that kind of content gets more non-streamers interested in it.
It won’t be as prevalent as regular PvP, but you’re underestimating this kind of thing

you might claim to be a player who only plays hc, but certainly you look like one who never played hardcore. it was always like this. and it’s sure they will not change it, so enjoy and deal with it or simply avoid, your choice. the only mistake is from you, in calling yourself an hc player.

Well with that attitude, you shouldn’t.
Try softcore, see how you find it then try HC PvP and maybe you can run if it goes south. There are achievements for PvP in HC so I’ll give that a shot. You can stand in the corner of your easiest dungeons and glitch your way to level 100
PvP isn’t going to be all that great in this game anyway so it doesn’t really matter

So how is it a mistake just for PvP?
I think you might not be fully considering how it would work in hardcore. The way you do PvP in hardcore is you play through the game normally, gather up your loot, and then you hold onto extra loot just for making PvP builds, then level hardcore alts (usually with lvling gear to make it go quickly) and then you go out and terrorize people until you get got yourself. It can be a total blast, and you never have to sacrifice your chars with your greatest amount of investment. It’s not for everybody, but as with hardcore generally, it’s just one more aspect to increase the rush of that playstyle.

If you only play Hardcore, then don’t PvP on your main, just make alts to PvP on.
