Seen the developer talking to Rax say that there is no plan for auction house.
So we are doomed with pitiful third party trades. So lame.

Well people will just keep going to these websites buying gold and the spammers will continue to flood chat. Thatâs what blizzard wants.
An auction house wouldnt stop RMT sites.
The regular trading sites dont offer RMT.
Banned accounts lead to people buying more accounts. Good biz for blizz.
Also saw not seen.
ya and those people are totally legit farming 70 billion gold per piece for sure.
/doublethumbzup
who said they farmed it? maybe the play a trading simulator.
anyway, i was merely pointing out that an auction house wont stop rmt. where people get there gold from isnt my business.
Thatâs no joke. Do people really want a WoW token, er Diablo token introduced?
This isnt news. They already said this in the campfire during the S5 PTR QA.
An AH wouldnt stop RMT.
Itâs called VAST mitigation and an effort, developing tools(analyzing data, narrow it down as much as possible), introducing actual for real IN-GAME functionality to the âQOL Tradingâ aspect that exists - vs 3rd party which is literally everything or near enough with this game.
Saying âAH wouldnât stop RMT sitesâ is the absolute worst stance and attitude for something that should long since have been in the game.
The only reason theyâre doing it that I can see is âweb trafficâ.
Thatâs it. If you or anyone needs this explained thenâŚghy.
is not a stance, its a fact. easy as that.
That obtuseness & shortsighted - thatâs a fact.
How can ones brain even function this way?
Of course it wonât STOP RMT.
I donât think anyone is remotely ignorant or flat out stupid to assume it would or even could.
Itâs called 1. Mitigation and 2. Making life as hard as possible for RMT(buyers AND Sellers) and 3. Making life as EASY as possible for the Players.
But no letâs stop everything we do in life because âchance of accidents or injuryâ.
Stop the absurdity already.
im not sure if you know how to use a forum. eventually you should check what i replied to.
you want to open a seperate discussion and thats fine, but not with me.
OR
2 options as it doesnât show direct reply.
Who said âAH will stop teh rmt!!1!â?
Not sure if you just couldnât wait to post âprepared reply #129 - AH and RMTâ that you and others have used to knock down IN-GAME Trading House/AH or whatever it would be called/functionality.
The other in the crew always rants âD3 bad RMAHâ.
If you donât have anything to actually add - I have literal novels on this Topic and brainstormed with many others on and off for over a year - How about YOU learn to forum and ignore it without injecting the usual nonsense?
oh, if you are referring to my stance on auction house. Yes, im glad we wont be getting an auction house.
I dont care for your novels on an AH. I know you have your opinion on it and so do i.
sorry not everything you want gets added to the game. sometimes stuff other people want gets respected as well. Just like i have to accept the changes to the leveling speed, which i personally dont agree with.
I donât agree with the speed either.
S1 was perfect.
As far as AH - thereâs far too much attachment to D3(not saying you are - but itâs largely unsuprising considering how nefarious it was).
But trading is trading no matter where it is.
It doesnât have to BE an âAHâ - itâs could be a trading feature in-game(listings for fixed prices âŚwhatever).
Ignoring RMT:
How one can be Ok with 3rd party trading sites(NOT RMT, again, mind you) but against ANY in game QOL TradingâŚvs having to go out of game, list blah blah, friend someone to even be able to match-make to trade(this is just ridic absurdly bad coding/desing) on and onâŚ
That just hurts my brain trying to see the rationale and reasoning why someone wouldnât be against the exact same(similar) thing which exists OUTSIDE of the game and not inside it.
âŚ
that is ok. you dont have to understand everything.
as for my reasoning, i prefer trading to be âtroublesomeâ for the broad playerbase, instead of making it super easy and effectively turning d4 into a trading simulator.
taking d3 as an example, people didnt even bother farming for upgrades if they struggled with something, they opened the AH and shopped to their hearts content.
let alone that i also strongly believe that an in game AH would actually promote RMT.
You see an item you want in the AH, you lack the gold, and are easily tempted to purchase some coins.
im fine with trading in general, as its an option players should have, especially in group play. While i know RMT cant be stopped, i also want to make sure to not further promote it.
Worse yet, no Armor load out yet.
Thatâs totally fair and true.
Thatâs why when people DISCUSS something âQOLâ of this magnitude - itâs important that it does not get dismissed out of hand because the RMT.
Multiple ways have been brainstormed to mitigate RMT as much as possible and maintain the purity of trading.
Again though: So âtroublesomeâ - thatâs honestly kind of funny.
Itâs like adding a speed bump to a road to stop speeders thatâs pretty much flat and does effectively - nada
People use it in that way anyway - all the little tycoons.
So I guess your stance is pretty flat and selfish - I donât want players to have an easy time to trade so no in-game QOL trading features even though trading exists.
Thanks.
Itâs been a redundant, pointless chat with a brick wallâŚ
peace
thats actually something im personally waiting for myself too.
chances are it will be in the expansion tho. i hope i didnt miss anything, but the loadouts werent discussed today were they?
yes, i rate my gaming experience more important than yours. you called me out.
At this point I may just open me a gold sellinâ spam chat business thing! Looks like the gateâs wide open boys! Wild west time yee-haw!
âŚheeey, It ainât my fault! How was I to know the 53 BN gold was duped? Iâm innocent AF over here!
