So I tried Ray Tracing

Ray tracing doesn’t seem to work great drops my fps to about 30 but that might be graphics card old and 6650xt on a ryzen 9 7950x3d.

Pretty sure the cards holding me back :upside_down_face::upside_down_face::upside_down_face:

On 1440p, Significant hit on fps not worth it.
Also, I couldn’t tell the difference.

Only knowing that theres a Ray Tracing option in DIV pushes the game to unlimited next levels. Everything while playing the game is more fun now. Worldbosses are epic fights with great rewards. Farming summoning mats is like picnic with lots of bacon every day. Duriel? Ohh Emmm Geee… Thats like cake and cristmas every second. So much fun.

Thanks you Ray Tracing. DIV is perfect now. Metascore 666 of 10 possible points.

Are you happy too? yesyeysyes?

It also affects my RL. People say to me: Hey you so good looking and successful. How you do it? … “I play DIV with Ray Tracing enabled” niahahahahahaaaa :person_with_crown:

I’m getting 90-110fps with RT up full on my 4080, works great.

I tried RT at Ultra, works fine on my 4070 but my computer’s temperature went nuts and there’s like not much of a difference.

If I only enable Ambient Occlusion will it boost my computer’s temperature too?

Don’t even bother, there’s no difference, you’ll only cut your performance in half and won’t notice any visual difference!

No one cares about ray tracing in an ARPG.

Guys, let me ask something else.
They promised us a bigger zoom out option with the patch, but i can’t find it.
Did they not implement it yet?

need xbox series RT… in 2025, lol. Also, with DLSS 3.5

At that point just buy a gaming PC

Believe that is part of the s4 patch, comes with all the stuff they showed in the latest campfire chat.

I figured out why I crashed btw. I play at 240hz and tried Ultra Ray Tracing before remembering to lower my fps cap. Apparently that’s a tall order for a 4070. Tried again locked at 120 and it was fine. Of the two I prefer the fluidity of steady 240 fps over ray tracing.

Can’t even get that with a 4090
Also… CPU-limited with RT on.

Somewhat, RT in games is based around Nvidia’s cores, those two use different cores to get it but it won’t be optimized because consoles use AMD APUs.

At 3440x1440 with all RT and GTAO options set to max, it takes frame gen to not see 40 and 50 FPS alongside some stuttering. I realize that “max” does not need a default setting for graphical options, but I usually start there considering the GPU I have in my rig.

3440x1440

With RT on max, all other settings maxed, DLSS and DLAA I reach my set fps cap of 165 (due to my monitor can’t run higher anyway).

Without frame generation i dip to about 110-130 fps depending on the density.

Though I’ve crashed 3 times so far over the span of 5 hours. Everytime right after opening a key and trying to teleport to the instance.
I don’t think I’ve ever crashed before, so I suspect the RT patch is the culprit.

Gonna be a pain playing HC if this persists ><

They are my gf plays on the xbox sx with rt and runs fine. But with rt on they lock the fps to 30. When play on my PC 5800x3d 7900 xtx I have had no problem.

I have an RTX 4090 7700x system and tried running full ray tracing @ 1440p, everything else max, latest drivers etc. I had massive frame pacing issues, tried rebooting system, still there. Tried turning on RTX frame generation, still there but improved. Tried turning down and off ray tracing settings one by one, no difference and eventually crashed before I turned down ray traced shadows. Looking at others posts here who included a video of their settings, it appears the people who aren’t having frame pacing issues and crashes are running DLSS. I don’t personally like DLSS, it makes everything fuzzy even on the highest quality and increases render latency. So for me, I would rather just have the ambient occlusion and no fuzziness and response than ray tracing. I hope they can fix this and not rely on DLSS for things to run right like so many companies these days. I have an RTX 4090 and was getting 95-150fps without DLSS so I don’t need it. They need to fix this.

EDIT: Worked it out, it was my GPU overclock causing the crashes with Ray Tracing, still didn’t run very smooth with Ray Tracing enabled, very bad frame pacing. Better, but not great, with or without DLSS features enabled on any setting.

Yeah that’s most likely because RT is really heavy on the CPU in this implementation.
I’m often very CPU-limited with my 5800X3D and 4090 FE, with RT on max.
Not worth it at all.
Especially in towns and when zoomed out at the bounty tree.
