I like everything about the expansion including the raid - my only concern is how accessible it will be for majority of the solo players.
It is going to be hard balance for blizz to make raid enjoyable for most of the people, as raid content is generally harder and more mechanic heavy. Certain amount of coordination is going to be needed and I hope, it is not going to be so extreme that you need to use voice or push to talk with other people.
Because we would then transforms into MMO rpg instead of aRPG lol.
Again, give us a solid raid finder and I am all up for it.
But, given the experience Blizzard has with raiding, I do have a certain amount of confidence in the team. If anything consult with WoW team I guess.

Half the people I see in game are wearing he wings or using the mount already, so I’d say a LOT already bought it.
I’m holding off for now until I see the class reveal on the 18th.

I haven’t pre-ordered a game since Lord of Destruction and don’t plan on changing that any time soon. It’s rare that I even buy a game on launch.

I pre-ordered the most expensive one because i had the spare money and it didnt hurt me financially. Ill gladly support the devs and more sales= more likely theyll do more expansions.

Nothing wrong with waiting until you get more info. I got the Ultimate and gifted the Standard to a friend.
The Group dungeon does worry me a bit. If we can use the mercs to do it cool. But if it is players only and they lock top end gear behind it like WOW does, then there are going to be a lot of soloers who will leave. Many of us play Diablo to get away from WOW.

i imagine a group finder is going to come with the “raid”. i know they didnt announce it yet, but they did say more info to come right? it would be a pretty good idea to have some sort of group finder functionality if they are going to have raids

That’s confirmation bias. The people playing right now are generally people grinding the entire season and more hardcore players that are more inclined to buy into new content.
Most casual players have dropped the season by this time from my experience. My casual guild is near dead while we had like 30 online on any given hour for the first 2 weeks of S4. Only 3 players online in the guild now are the hardcore players grinding non stop.

I am sure blizzard knows, when you put random people together, you going to have toxicity. LOL, unless they make the raid a push over, you going have lots people raging at each other for sucking

My initial reactwas no I’ll wait. I don’t like companions in games and I don’t really like the idea of having to group as I’m a solo player. But realistically I’m still going to buy it and when I seen the cat that picks up gold I thought what the hell and now I’m sporting the wings like 75% of the people I see around me lol Ive been going with a golden armor look all season and they fit in perfect with it

Dont buy it if you hesitate. I bought ultimate simply because I want to access the transmorg/pets now and the price is not expansive in comparison.
So far, I am having doubt how raid is implemented. I am ok paying for additional story, new class and more paragon boards. I dont care about mercs at all unless they have D3 type of function over D2 functionality. I dont care about their mantra, but what additional item power I can benefit from their equipment (D3 emanate system).
Group synergy is a must for modern arpg in my view. Implementation of it should be more incentivized rather than compulsory.

I preordered it because overall I’m pleased by the changes in season 4. I’m having fun and I like the direction they’re headed with the game.

It’s surprising that you guys think any kind of group finder will be added to the game when we have none right now. I assumed they would have a lot of added basic features like better chat and group find, but it has not happened in a year.

whats surprising about it? with the addition of content that seems like it will require a group, its the first time a group finder is actually needed. so im sure it will be added. prior to the new “raid” everything is solo content that you can enjoy with a group. the new content if i am reading correctly is designed for a group
I was buying the expansion anyways so I pre-purchased.
- I’ve enjoyed, to varying degrees, every season except #3
- I want to play through the campaign
- Seasons make it so I can hop in and out of the game if I want easily so I tend to focus on ARPGs a lot more.
Since you can get the pet in-game right now just wait until you are certain yourself OP. There is no benefit to pre-ordering right now as the pet was given for free. So I’d say wait until you’re comfortable to toss the $ down.

No, it’s not the first time a group finder is needed. There should have been one since day one. There are a lot of reasons to group now. Raiding isn’t the only reason for it. There are a lot of people that have requested it on this forum long before this feature was announced.
yes people have requested it, but it wasnt needed. would it have been a nice qol, yes. but with content designed for grouping it is the first time it is needed. there is a difference between need and want.
It’s only your opinion that it wasn’t needed. Again, a lot of people have requested it. And, please people, don’t assume now is the time they will add a group finder. Just because I thought a lot of basic features would be added to the game, that hope did nothing for people believing they would see the light. If you are sure it is needed, then I would wait until they specifically say it will be added.
