Whoever designed this fight, please, slap yourself across the face… The hitboxes, tho oneshots, the stupid circle that kills you if you put as much as finger behind it… I got to phase 2 once, ONCE!!! I killed Malenia after 70 tries, but the fight got easier since I got better everytime. Here? I am almost the same as in the beginning, randomness of this fight is unfun and unfair…

Just to clarify, I actually reached lvl 100, leveled glyphs to lvl15 and tinkered around with paragon points… I sacrificed all survivability for absolute max dmg I could get… So, after like 30 tries, using different incenses and pots I reached a point I could stop her from spawning blood puddles at all in phase 2, so the phase was a cakewalk…
But the slam at the end was killing me, so I realized: I actually got immunity on druid, if I can time it right - werewolf ultimate. Then couple more tries, and shes dead!
I killed her on release and in season 1 multiple times. So far in season 2 I haven’t bothered because I ain’t wasting my time dealing with her bugs. The best bet if you want the kill is find a build you can cheese her with and be done with it.

Do you really want to use, as a ruler for average expected skill, an extremely skilled person to force that this fight is not a complete horror of artificial difficulty and one shot?

but i was a bone necromancer making it a rather easy mode (though i just wanted to do bone necro not because of OP but because i liked that build in D2)
eitherway, i still think the one shots she does is a bit dumb personally.
any builds should be able to kill her as long as it’s nicely equipped (and skills should be balanced) and the player well know how to play: not merely builds that can easily bypass her first phase.
i’d much prefer if lilith couldn’t one shot but had more HP too (and couldn’t have her phase bypassed like she does currently with cheese build)

I agree! But sadly it’s how the game is in its current state. I guess being an mmo player having to play meta and cheese builds is nothing new to me and it is what it is.
There’s a strong difference between meta and cheese, though, and cheesing the fight being the best strategy is what makes it so irritating. My own MMO history makes the jacked up hitboxes on the telegraphed attacks all the more aggravating. Decided to work on something else instead; it isn’t worth getting worked up over something with poor design elements.

And people will keep reminding you that killing her using bugged out op builds like Lightning Ball(or BM Bone Spear LOL) is nothing but cheese and not something to be proud of. As if you tried to use those to make your point, very sad.

There’s two ways to make it easy to kill lilith. Power or mechanics. I opted for power so I can kill her before she starts her waves. Others have done it purely with mechanics and less power. Both are legit ways to win.
I think most of the people who complain about “cheesing” her are just mad she has too much life and damage for them to run whatever they want and just eventually slog through the fight.
They said most players wouldn’t beat her. The only thing that comes to mind that I would call cheesing her is using concealment to skip all the ground drops in phases two. Everything else seems pretty fair game to me.
