I don’t think anyone really wants to carry around various 2H weapons and amulets with better roles of an already equipped aspect just so they can snapshot the higher rolled effect, zone in, unequip to normal gear and benefit.
I mean you don’t have to do this at all, it’s your choice. I’d rather them not remove options that are, say it with me now, optional to use. Such a weird rant.
I don’t know if anyone really wants to do 2,000 Duriel dupe runs either, but addiction to exploits is a serious condition that can only be cured by playing more Animal Crossing.
If you or a loved one are struggling, don’t wait, seek help!
Sorc obviously…Key passive snapshotting IS a thing… snapshotting the new elemental aspect to get a 1.6 permanent multipliyer (2h) IS a thing…broken bugged stuff… Metamorphisis snapshotting ravenous, but this one IS actually a Nerf…half the Vamp Powers Seen to BE broken, Not working correctly IT Seems. But hey No balancing needed in s2…lmao. These devs are Clowns nothing else
So ppl put on item with that aspect then zone into dungeon or AoZ wait for it to be their element and then take it off and it still works until you zone again? Only Bliz could let this happen if that is how it works.
THis is a big big bug.
For me rigth now is number 1 bug.
People is not only using it, they are using in streams, youtube vids,… no necesity to hide…
It’s not fair that players who are trying to play fair have to deal with this.
Blizzard come on, do something.
No it works that you have the elemental affix on 2handed weapon and other piece of gear.
The 2H overrules with higher roll but when you take it off, the lower roll on normal item takes over and sustains the buff of the 2handed so you get 100% bonus for free on the affix. All affix of this type works like this with 2handed and normal versions.
It’s a bad gameplay mechanic that increases player power, and thus is incentivized to be used.
No legitimate argument can be made to keep it in the game; it’s clearly unintended, increases player power (and thus affects balance, even for those who don’t use it), and will almost certainly be removed.
The fact that you can choose not to use something in no way means that it doesn’t affect your gameplay. This is true even now, when there are no competitive ladders and so forth, but becomes even more relevant when they are added.
Snapshotting needs to go plain and simple. Its not an intentional game mechanic, and this riddled D3. So I’m not surprised that this is prevalent in D4. Lets see if this will ever get addressed because we know with each new season there are going to be more aspects.
How are you having to deal with someone else doing this? I don’t understand. Don’t get me wrong, it is an exploit, as I have previously said, but if player A does it, it does not affect player B at all.
By knowing Blizzard, there’s 120% chances they will impose ‘now you gears are locked once nightmare dungeon or AoZ sigil has been opened’. To prevent snapshotting.
