Smoldering Ashes

Will smoldering ashes roll over from season to season or must they be used in the season they were accumulated?

No, you’ll have to gather them all over again with the new Season.
Although I did not see this anywhere, I’m more than 90% confident, because even with the current system, with smoldering ash you can improve the drop rate of hearts and there is no reason for this to carry over to Season 2.

So I believe it will all be removed and you will start from 0 once again. Plus, they are level locked and you need new characters for each season anyways and by the time you hit that level, you will already have progressed in the BP enough to get some Ash.

100% they will disappear at the end of the season, presumably to be replaced either with a new round of Ashes or some other mechanic in a new season.

Poof, gone.
They need to remove level reqs for Ashes.

They’re meant for late game use, not early on.

I get that… just wondering if i choose not to use them this season whether or not they will stil remain on the account for future use… I appreciate the info though…

I understand what it’s “meant for”, but it’s silly to sell a Battle Pass Boost when you can’t utilize it until lv 50+.

I think the reason for that was because up until 50, your character does improve rather quickly with the new gear.

Not sure about you, but almost every level up until roughly 50ish, I was able to exchange gear for something better. Perhaps they’ve seen a decrease around this level at which characters no longer get new gear and these little buffs can then be used.

No clue, but it’s not like any of those are detrimental to the game.

Oh, in that case I would also believe it gets removed, because all of this is on the “Season” tab which will be renewed, so perhaps next Season we will have a whole new interface too for this.

Let’s see if the bonuses make it through this season before we start thinking about next season!

In any case, if you do the whole season journey you’ll have enough dust to fill up every option. That said, I find it bizarre that Blizzard would sell tier skips to people who most likely won’t reach the level required to use those perks. Also find it weird the perks aren’t particularly useful as one levels and gets closer to max. Very strange illusion of choice.
