This is kinda ridiculous. You are potion up, full hp, nothing normal or even way higher can hardly hurt you, and then instant death from what? some monster explosion way far from you instantly kills you wich shouldn’t even hurt you like 1/10th of hp or fortify.
We pay hundreds of euroes for a game that ruins the playing with these kind of bugs and blizzard cant revive the characters slayed / killed by “Unknown Killer” ? how hard it would be to fix that bug this way if anything else cant be done to fix it. People play hardcore and accept death when it comes from own mistakes or over trying, but this kinda kills the mood to even play this game if you spend hours and hours to just die on some “cant be seen” killer bug. When is blizzard going to do something about it? no more money thrown for this game and will be off playing this until they do something to these bugs. its already year from 1st topics about this.
People play hardcore knowingly full well anything that kills them they will lose everything. Often players will not read the part of losing a character with high risk by warning the player who is entering hardcore mode. Yes, there’s monsters who can hit with a big radius by exploding so if a player is caught in that and didn’t have good gear they will die. It will also depend what difficulty setting the player is playing on.
Games cost more overseas that’s normal. Servers without problems or games is impossible because there will always be something for the Devs to fix. I encounter it once and never again. Hard to say it is a bug when monsters can kill a player off screen if a player not paying attention in my case, it was massive shadow damage explosion of a big radius I was unaware I was in. Send my Necro across the ground of a ragdoll effect.
I just got killed by a unknow killer too and as I can see, I’m not the first and may not be the last one, I was melting a few monsters and then I just died out of nowhere with full life and fortify as well… Sadly it kinda make us feel less motivated to keep playing the game, but I dont know, I may give it another shot, but if this keep happening I’ll probably just stop playing Diablo for good, not only this one, but all the others tha may come in the future, since blizzard is ignoring those bug reports, because that’s definitely a bug and when I died, I only had a single enemy around that would never been able to kill me, even if I let him hit me, my spikes would have it killed before it would be able to kill me
I’m done with diablo 4 HC until this is fixed or otherwise addressed.

You shouldn’t listen to those “warnings”. Slain by unknown killer means, that the players have killed themselves (mostly explosions). Yes, explosions can be severe and even more so from Hellbournes in Helltides while levelling. Their explosions can be quite nasty. But this doesn’t change the fact, that the players have killed themselves by not moving out of the area of effect. I don’t know why Blizz still writes: “unknown killer” but this is always, when you weren’t killed by a direct hit from enemies. So, when you dodge everything (what you always should, even when you think, it can’t kill you), you will never encounter this “bug”.
Try HC, it is the best experience you can get. You learn the game much better and deaths are a part of this learning curve. Of course it is easier to claim something as a bug, but there is a reason, why there are so many people, who don’t die because of this and a handful do. Don’t listen to others, make your own experience.
This happened to me recently. There’s an easy solution if it’s truly not a bug.
Give us a combat log tab in chat so we can at least learn how to avoid this in the future. HC is about minimizing risk. If we can’t determine what 100% to zeroed us (instantly), we can’t adapt our play.
I don’t accept getting one-shot from something off screen with no visible effect as a “just deal with it.”

Just adding to this thread another HC character slain by “Unknown Killer” on Torment I just cleaning ordinary monsters, nothing specific… lvl 60, paragon 100+. I am playing only HC for years because its at least some thrill but seen this first time, unfortunately… will go for softcore pussies next time looks like
