Skeleton Corpse Bow

Can we please tone this thing down?

Either the range, the attack speed or damage. One of them have to give.
I cannot count the amount of times I have been one shot from off my screen.

If your health is getting chunked, look to see what is chunking it. It’s all part of situational awareness.

How can we be situationally aware of something blasting us from off screen before we even know it’s there? These ballistas of death have no chill.

I dont have an issue with these, but you’re right about their power. They shoot fast, far, and hard. The thing I have a problem with is the snake eyes.

By the time you even visually see the eyes begin to cast, they’ve already casted and stunned you. I wanna meet the person with the reflexes to dodge those things.

Honestly I hate the Wraiths ranged through the walls from two rooms over one shot.

Sounds like it’s time to let us zoom the camera out more. We already know they can do it because of mounts and world bosses. Put your egos aside, and give players the option to choose, Blizz.

If your health is dropping then look to see what’s dropping it. Once you’ve experienced these things it’s easy to know when one is targeting you.

Switched to windowed mode and adjust that way. Free ultra wide

I have an appreciation for the corpse bow because when one is around it establishes that if you stand still for more than like 1.5s, you’re gonna get punished, so take care of it. They hurt, but they are absolutely terrible at tracking a moving target by design.

To be fair, I don’t hate the corpse bows themselves. They hit hard and add a nice dynamic to monster groups. I take issue with them getting to attack me before I can see them. Nothing should be blasting us from off-screen.

The by far most important thing to think about is…
Skeleton corpse bows are such a fun enemy design. Seriously, a bunch of skeletons just combining themselves together to make a huge bow and arrow? It is easily one of my favorite enemy designs, just because of how goofy it is. It reminds me of skeleton wheels in games like PoE or Dark Souls

I agree nothing should be blasting us from off screen WHEN OUR CHARACTER SHOULD CLEARLY SEE IT AHEAD OF TIME

Once you get used to them they aren’t so bad. These things definitely stressed me out during the beta.
The aspect that gives you an 8% chance to stun ranged attackers I took for the bonus it gives to stunned targets but the stun proc is actually pretty useful on stuff like this too.

Finally some gloam gameplay

Not only does corpse bow chunk you hard, it also makes you vulnerable.

Those red ghost bow boys on the other hand, they just straight up fire a tractor beam and 1 shot anyone in it’s path. XD

The sanctimonious individuals here who think its a skill issue with corpse bow either haven’t pushed high enough or haven’t been on a map where its impossible to dodge one of these.

I lost all my revives to a single corpse bow in a long narrow hallway when i was trying to push a 69 (Nice)mare dungeon. It reloaded between the time I died and walked back and would one shot me before it was even on screen. I love a challenge, and pushing beyond what i should be at. But the corpse bow is trash tier over tuned nonsense.

I would be fine with it if we could zoom out, NOTHING should have further range than our camera, that’s just bad game design.

Too many commenting do not seem to understand what the problem is. The problem is that we are forced to be too zoomed in on our character to see things attacking even though we are within their range of attack. That should not be the case at all.

We should be able to see the threat to react to it, not be killed immediately by an unseen threat.
