Simplify Basic Top-down Cutscenes

In D4 there are a lot of in-engine cutscenes which use the top-down camera. For some strange reason almost all of them use some kind of small camera movements. I understand that developers probably wanted to the refine those cutscenes by adding some cinematic camera shifts. This is wrong. The BEST solution to this kind of cutscenes is simply COPYING EXACT METHOD from D2:LoD. Again, they tried to change something, like in D3, without fully understanding why it was done best in D2:LoD.

Suggestion: All top-town in-engine cutscenes should NOT move camera AT ALL (like in D2:LoD) and during all such cutscenes my Necromancer minions should NOT despawn (again, like in D2:LoD).

This simple change will add to IMMERSION, simplify code and create a CONSISTENT cutscene system which will look LIKE IN DIABLO 2, ONLY BETTER, which D4 tries to achieve.

That is a lucid, intelligent, well thought-out objection.

Overruled.

Blizzard doesn’t change things that aren’t completely broken/bugged. If it’s working, and not causing problems as of the moment, it will stay in the game. I doubt this is even on the list of things to change if we’re being realistic. This wouldn’t ever occur to them because it has so little impact on the game itself.

I’m not saying it isn’t a good idea, but we all know how Blizzard works, and this will never be implemented.

Haha. Nice courtroom etiquette.

I hope that they gather feedback which will be added to the game at a later date, maybe as late as in the next expansion. That’s what motivates me to write this kind of posts.
