Simple masterwork fix

Reset masterworked items to the last crit be it 8/12, 4/12 or 0/12.

Keep everything the same. Still a big time/farm/gold sink but slightly less RNG.

Also pit 65+ guaranteed 1 ga item legendary after boss kill.

The max aspect issue needs a hot fix. Perhaps move defensive/resource max aspects to regular legendary. Some of these are key and needed for defenses. (Not talking about SB). Keep offensive ones on ancestral leg.

Alternatively the ancestrals can only roll from 16/21 ranks of aspects while regular will roll 1-16 ranks

MW resetting to the last crit level is a great idea IMO.

All great ideas - the master work reset is is how it should always have been!

Ancestral legendries need a rework - especially in regards to codex aspects - but also drop rates.

I’m a dreamer, and I have high hopes, so I’m hoping that soon there will be a blue post with what they plan to do to sort this dumpster fire out.

As much as I would like that to happen there are a lot of people that will say this will make it too easy. Which I may agree for the first time. They should at least increase material requirements or maybe allow a soft reset just for 8/12. I don’t think we need 12/12 critical masterworking anyway.

It doesn’t make it ‘easy’ your still farming gold and mats to throw at it to get that perfect MW item.

This is just a lazy coding change that can be done on the weekend.

I don’t think they will up the drop rates of ancestral. The guaranteed 1 GA is both kiss and a curse. It makes ancestral drops more valuable therefore they’ll make them more rare.

I am simply referring to lazy coding change to make the aspects drop max aspects quicker.

Great idea, that would reduce the frustration level by a large amount and still keep the farming aspects to get the MWs done

Ohh, I see what you mean…

and you also mean that if you master your item all the way and you want to go back to 0, you would have to Reset the item 3 times (or 2 times if you want to go to the 2nd master work level 4/8) ? I like that idea.

After all, if you happen to hit an affix you want twice but the 3rd you Miss it, you don’t want to start All over trying to get the targeted Affix again! :ok_hand: good idea!
