Ever since the patch, it seems like every 15-20 min of game time I will experience a massive lag spike that freezes everything in place for 5 min or so, sometimes longer. If I wait long enough, it’ll sometimes snap back, but other times I just get disconnected. At this rate, I don’t think I’m going to be able to play this season, since I get almost as much waiting, staring at my screen time and actual play time. I was able to run from Kyovashad all the way to the northern tip of Scosglen while the game was lagging.

Same here I have around 250ms in avarage. I have Fiber to the home (FTTH) Gigabit internet in EU

Swear to god it always happens in the helltide when there are 3 or more players in the same location. Makes it unplayable.

My version is rubberbanding all over the place, watching monsters glitch, running into invisible walls and not being able to click on mysterious chests. when i do click them i get pushed like 15 feet away. I have to click like 5 times to get to it.
Very aggravating as I just paid for the PC version so i would be able to actually type chat with my clannies after not really being able to on the xbox with that crappy chat system. I’m regretting buying for PC now

so something i noticed is after the patch it re-enabled cross platform play and removed my -disableds command line, changing those definitely helped my performance. Oh also removing the dstorage.dll file might help

Yeah I’m rubber banding/glitching/lagging all over the place, every few seconds. Seems to be worse, the more activity on the screen.

Same here,it’s impossible to play,the game has huge lags,very long loading screens and crashes non-stop after the patch

Same here. I literally cannot play the game anymore. Since the new patch I have played maybe 10 minutes total.

I’ve figured out dungeons don’t freeze but they kicked me out after one lol
Helltides are unplayable. The lag is so bad, i’m rubber banding everywhere. Day 1 was fine. But now its a completely unplayable lag fest

Having same issue in South Africa, not my internet, really annoying
Got the same problem… game is lagging every few minutes… in town or in a helltide - unplayable sadly… came back for Season4 and it´s just a disaster
edit got a little workaround for me → disable Sound ingame - has reduced the lags slightly

Constant Lagging issues, especially loading between area’s of the game, FPS will go as low as 30fps then black screen and immediate Disconnect. This happens a min of 20+ times during gaming.
Rubber banding (especially when entering a new zone or map)…
Game was fine in season 3, hoping to get a fix soon.
same thing here… after the 650mb patch, the game starts lagging and renders unplayabla on PC… already updated everything, my internet is just fine, and there’s no word from blizzard to fix this

Getting bad lag and occasional crashing here too, mostly in Helltides. Had no issues with the same setup and hardware in Season 3. Something about the Season 4 patch really screwed something up.

Prior to the Patch on the 16th I ran a stable 160 fps pretty much everyone with maybe the slight drop here and there when things get busy on screen.
After the patch I’m not running anything stable. I can get in game, I can play but as stated in the first post of this thread, about every few minutes the fps drops is so bad that at times it locks the game up for 10-20 seconds and then for me it will eventually unlock and pick back up where I was at, assuming I haven’t died in the process.
I’m guessing perhaps some people are getting D/C’d during this might be pointing towards some sort of memory issue?

Hoping they get a fix soon or at least address the elephant in the room. Blows my mind that Blizzard after all these years still runs the policy of acting like nothing is going on until it reaches like rioting level discontent. I was having fun this season until the May 16th Patch.

In Helltides: Things are fine for 15-20 minutes, regardless of number of players in the same space. Then a lag spike either in the Helltide or say when I teleport back to town to empty bags. And then hard app crash straight to desktop. It’s wild!

In dungeons: Things are fine for 5-10 minutes, then lag spike, then I can walk around, but the same hallways repeat endlessly, where I don’t actually make any progress. Then it says Reconnecting to Diablo IV. Then it takes me to the loading screen.

At the Battle.net Launcher: Whenever I start it, it says <1 minute queue. I then need to restart it, and I’m able to load the launcher. This is before even getting to any game.
Playing on PC. Curious if it’s also affecting console players.
