Sigils are absolutely not random. I’ve run so many hundreds of nightmare dungeons, and I continuously get the exact same 8 dungeons. Never any others. Oh, craft them you say? Well, crafted sigils are those exact same dungeons.
I understand that dungeons are supposed to be random, random location, random location, random modifiers, etc., but why is this even the case? There are 115 possible dungeons and being forced to run the same ones is profoundly boring.
Why not allow players to specify the level and location for an increased cost? I’m not the only one that experiences this, many others do. If you’re going to make algorithms force players to run the same 5-10 dungeons over and over again, why not just allow players to select exact location and level?
would it matter? almost all of the other 90 dungeons have the same layouts and also consist of “bring the 2 keystones to the pillars, clear the room with no xp/rewards, backtrack through empty areas, fight the tomb lord/blood bishop/repeated boss ‘x’…”
I’m more upset that the modifiers are all so boring/annoying. even the ones that benefit the players are lame.
They said that? Guess they haven’t learned from Overwatch 2, then. While it’s certainly nowhere near as extreme as Overwatch map poola were, it’s still silly to have such limitations. Especially in a game like Diablo 4 where you you aren’t matchmaking or fighting against other players, you’re just grabbing a group of friends (or going in alone) and killing a bunch of monsters. The dungeons are all so similar enough that there’s no modifications that works in one but won’t work in another.
i expected too much, i thought u can craft your own affix but turns out it just give u dust and let the rng crafts it for you.

recycle to dust
ask the npc to craft
repeat
pick the sigil
run sigil
100x later, oh ye i hit the same conclusion as you, they are all same. that’s just the game now till 100 and im on the road to 90.
i am barb so i just recycles all the phys resist and wrath steal sigil.
It seems that they get rid of full random of the dungeons.
So it’s just about dev time - more time need to spend to setup all dungeons, and probably devs had no this time, to be able to release in time
Game feels far away from finished or at least planned at launch time, so we still have to wait for a while
Yeah. I agree. It’s frustrating. For all the cool stuff D4 does that feels like a step in the right direction, when it comes to the really important stuff? It feels like they took a giant step backwards, and this is totally exemplified in dungeons. And NM dungeons suffer as a result because they’re just copy-pasted content too.
It’s been a month and I can say, I’m tired of getting the same few dungeon sigils every time I login to the game.
This is the first time I actually hate pseudo-RNG being involved in deciding what sigils I get from crafting it at the occultist.
Please unlock all dungeons and make them available in the pool for us cause this would actually motivate me to unlock all the dungeon’s aspects.
At the rate I’m going getting the same few 8 dungeons from crafting, I’ll never finish dungeons with aspects that are either not for my class or completely useless; and some of these dungeons don’t even have a side quest associated to them.
