does anyone remember how hard it was to beat the butcher in D1 but also remember how proud you were when you finally got lucky and killed him the butcher use to be so hard to kill now as long as your gear right hes ez that man never kills me

When he drops anything you can talk about buffing him. If you 100 doing a t100 butcher is level 154 dropping the exact same loot he would at 70 and like the rest of the game there is no point.
The Butcher spanked everyone at least once.
Be it in D1 or D4(and D3 in the early days thatās for sureā¦).
Thatās the point of that monster.
you only experience the jump scare one timeā¦to make it āmore difficultā just makes it more tedious.
Luster is lost, weāve been there, done that and did died.
Itās just a āmobā now.

i agree with that i think in D1 tho he had good drops to be honest the drop in D4 are the worst hes ever had

The butcher should have a pile of tricks that he uses depending on the skills you have equipped.

oh he def scared the living crap out of me on top of a sound spanking.
It was the best jumpscare Iāve ever experienced in a game(non horror style).

i miss that BACK IN MY DAY but yeah it was maybe one of the best boss in a game for its time nothing was as cool and scarier then the first time he was introduce and he came out of no where

The butcher is an awesome encounter i never had problems beating at higher levels and good gear. (twisted blades rogueā¦ can facetank the red guy)
My new season rogue (lvl 86) uses rabbit fire poison imbued. That normally shredds through everything. Got 10/5 poison imbue and 9/5 rabbit fia. Weapons with multiplicator damages (vul, crits etcā¦). Paragon tree raises all of this.
I have defense aspecs next to my precious offense aspects and new hearts that boosts the damage.
But yesterday i did not know what happened to me. I heared stomp stomp and 2 secs after that āfreah meatā. I thought: Yippieh. Long Time o see."
Chop Chop Chop. Health nearly vanished (my health) ok. Poison Trap, rain of arrows (all imbuements) and than gogogogo poison imbued (unlimited because im standing in the recharging poison field) rabbid fire.
That nearly did nothing to his break bar and at one point i had to move because my health potions were nearly empty. And then i died.
The nightmare dungeon i did where only 5 lvl above me. So nothing hard. 
So new goal for me. Tinkering and finding out why the butcher was eating my rabbit fire for breakfast. 
D1 butcher was a lvl2 boss and not that difficult to beat really. U can skip him and come back later. Also he gets stuck at doorsā¦ which is kind of keeping with tradition here.
edit: maybe it would be a better idea to intro other legendary iconic bosses. Like Leoric, Warlord of the Blood etc
He was defeated by aā¦ Doorā¦
I always have fun at helltides when i read āplayer-name has been killed by environmentā

I think D4 butcher feels like D1 butcher.
Hits like a truck, you cant almost outrun him, you never know exactly how many hp does he have left and sometime you get his cleave.
I think having the butcher randomly appear on dungeons its one of the greatest thing D4 have. I wish we had more and different kind of cameos.
