Should I have my paragon board completely filled to do tier 3?

I can beat some but not all the bosses on 3 as is but not gettin anywhere with it

On my barb I was doing T3 at around 200 paragon. Maybe less I don’t remember exactly. Paragon beyond about 240 really doesn’t give you a lot of extra power. If you haven’t masterworked and leveled your glyphs id focus on that as that’s where the power gain is mostly at in the early tiers.

Thanks. I can easily beat the Bosses but goin on to 3 i can’t beat them all. Glyps are only at 46 each and board isn’t complete I’m at about 240 though

Did you just fill the first board or did you add the other four, too?

What class are you playing? By 240 I was easily killing things in T4. In fairness I have been playing a barb main since the beginning and I know the class very well so it’s easy for me to get going.

Those glyphs should definitely come up though.

you will laugh. i vaguely remember that we had someone not knowing it ^^

so yea, better to be safe than sorry and make sure he added other paragon boards ^^

Paragon needed for t3 or any tier is going to be relative to power from your build/gear. i.e. the better your build and gear are the less you need higher paragon. also keep in mind that paragon levels has diminishing returns so the higher you go the less new points are actually impacting your power. I haven’t tested this but going by commonly stated belief it seems like you can get most of what you need by 200ish and after 250 it really becomes negligible.

If you are 240 and struggling in T3, you might want to take a look at how you have spent the points, your build, your gear.

If I were in the spot you describe I would:

  1. Check my build, Skills and paragon, to make sure they are effective selections
  2. Make any adjustments needed to skills / paragon spend

if that doesn’t fix it then it is likely gear in this case i would’

  1. Take a step down to T2 where i can easily kill the things i need to kill to get the items i want to improve.
  2. get them tempered and Master worked
  3. give T3 another shot.

If you’re following a guide, be sure to check the paragon display. Sometimes, they have multiple layouts. For example, one layout for under 200, another for 250, another for 280, up to 300. These layouts may take entirely different paths and use different glyphs! On Maxroll, such a display has a scrollbar along the bottom to select the right layout for you.

I’m sure the build is fine. OP just didn’t make use of enough bugs and exploits.

What a helpful post. I’m sure OP and the community will derive significant value from your deep wisdom. So glad you shared it.

Well, that’s where most of this season’s power comes from, after all.
