Should I consider purchasing Diablo 4 for my PC? I’m currently traveling and am curious if the game has improved since I last played it about four months ago. At that time, I became frustrated with the game due to what I perceived as challenges in the wrong areas, such as redoing altars and side quests. Unlike Diablo 3, I felt restricted in creating a super overpowered character.
I’m open to buying the standard version and giving it another shot on my PC during my travels. However, I’ve heard rumors about the next expansion potentially costing $100. If this turns out to be true, I’m not willing to invest in even the standard version. It seems unreasonable to ask loyal customers to pay such a high amount, especially considering the initial disappointment and dissatisfaction. Ideally, loyal customers should either receive a well-deserved expansion pack for free or the developers should have released a more polished game from the beginning.
In light of this, I’d appreciate any solid information regarding the pricing of the upcoming expansion. Can anyone confirm whether it will indeed be priced at $100 or if there’s a possibility of it being offered for free?
Some stuff was added, and the game was made a lot easier…but whether or not that is a good thing that depends on you. I personally think the game is too easy now.
In either case it needs more still. If you own one copy just stick to that until you see improvement there.
No. It was just a survey ranging from 50 to 100. Like most games there will probably be tiers to choose from. Lots of info already out there about this.
I bought it on steam with a good sale and ended up making use of it. Assuming you can get past paying twice for something cross progression makes the experience worth it.
+1 you’re going to need a controller though. Once you’re used to the game on controller kbm is for backwards nolifers stuck in the past. This game plays significantly better on controller, you can’t go back once you’ve had a real go with it.
pc d3 not having controller support is the biggest issue…
I had a lot of fun in S2. As im sure many others did.
This is more of a personal decision, i wouldnt rely on the fourms to tell you how to spend your money. Fun is subjective.
D3/PoE fanboys will tell you no. So if your looking for PoE or D3 I would say play one of those. If you enjoyed D4 than yes get it on PC because S2 was better than S1.
Next week news of season 3 comes out so there is that.
i have it on ps5 and pc. personally i prefer playing it on my pc, but still use a ps5 controller on the pc. the game just feels right playing with a controller. for some reason while on ps5 with a large tv screen there are times i start to feel nauseous, the backround just looks weird. i think its the different elevations maybe. everything looks better and flows better on the pc with a smaller screen though
Buy Diablo IV for PC, come to us! You do not need to pay to play online, there is crossplay and if I am not mistaken cross-progression as well. Welcome!
I only play D3 on my Xbox specifically cause of this. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone can prefer kbm over a controller. If a game on pc doesn’t have controller support I’m not gonna play it, especially if there is a console version with controller support.
I’ve been a pc gamer all my life, and even though i started before the dualshock actually had analogue sticks, its only been in the last few years that autoaim has caught up with my thumbs, i never cared for them.
What really got me over was d4… i just refused to pay full price for digital only, so bought the steelbook ps5 version. Its just fact that d4 plays in another league of fun on controller, its designed for it. Click to move is a nightmare i will never do again.
But after such a glowing experience, and the fact that xbox controllers take batteries so they can last forever, yeah ive started collecting xbox controllers, got some custom face plates, and err, the next console will be xbox given all sony exclusives i honestly hate now.
I think all the Diablo games are better on controller. D3 on Xbox is fantastic, and I only play D2R with a controller. Never played D1 on the PS1 so not sure how that played. Only ever played that on PC.
Get Last Epoch instead. It’s $35 and feels better to play currently. Better yet, wait to see what they have planned for season 3 and then make your decision.
I bought the game again in PC but I refunded it because it keeps freezing at the Blizzard screen. Not my intention to refund but it’s definitely not working for me. I guess I’m stuck with the console version for now. I might try via Battle.net.
Expect the expansion to be less than $70 and the collector’s edition around $70 to $100.
I’m actually considering this since I got my refund already for the PC version of D4 in Steam. I simply want to understand more how things are done in Last Epoch. I just finished playing PoE1 and hit the endgame. I think I got a good enough understanding of PoE so that I don’t make stupid remarks of something I don’t know.
