The dungeon itself is easy, the final boss is the real challenge. Even if you can beat it you’re going to struggle in WT4, the base level for monsters is 73. I beat it at 63 after throwing myself against the boss 20 times. Some people have done it sooner, but theres really no reason to rush it.
If you need more of a challenge in WT3, do nightmare dungeons.
I was dabbling with this a bit last night at level 56 (Rend Barbarian). I can kill things easy enough but there’s a few MoBs in there that make it a bit too much. I’ll try again at 60. in the meantime, I’m roaming around doing all the Reknown stuff.
I tried it yesterday at lvl 57 on my double swing, weapon arsenal keystone no shout build. The dungeon was fairly tough and made it to the boss. Was able to get it down to 50% but that was it. The fireballs were taking off like 90% of my hp.
If I was a better player I could have done it, but alas I’m filthy casual - so I’ll get a few more levels working on clearing out the dungeons for renown and go back to wreck it.
it would be tough, monsters 10+ levels over you will no doubt near 1 shot you. So unless you have some broken build expect to die alot but can it be done? sure
I havn’t tried it, I’m sure my rogue would be somewhat fine as I stick and move. My playstyle is gather groups of mobs up, lay poison traps then blow everything up with shadow penetrating shot. I just am taking the game slow, I feel no need to rush atm just enjoying myself in WT3 being chill. I’ll get to it thou
Im just looking for a challenge, and testing the game out.
WT3 is an absolute joke, bosses melt in 10 seconds or less, mobs dont hurt unless you do nothing. Cant really be CCd . Can keep enemies CCd consistently. Ignore all mechanics, because who cares.
Just got the legendary paragon that essentially gives you 25% dmg buff too … not that i needed it.
I’d bet you anything they didn’t anticipate or want builds that could clear WT3 capstone below level 65-70. However, it’s hard to balance around that reality so now they have to accept the fact that players expect to be able to because they’ll get made if you take it away.
Once certain expectations are set by releasing the game, the community will be mad if you take something away. Even if it’s outside your design vision or goals.
I didn’t think the final boss of either capstone dungeon was particularly difficult but if you go in very under leveled the next tier itself is more of a challenge than the dungeon is.
